Back in the days, when I heard Azarath’s “Infernal
Blasting”, one of my first impressions was that it’s
impossible to top. I thought that there is no sense in adding a
new level of insane blasts, skullcrushing riffs and brutality
itself. There is a borderline in extreme music and if someone
crosses it, his creation will turn out to be a bunch of aching,
senseless noises. I thought that “IB” was as close
to this borderline as possible in death metal. One more step
ahead and Azarath’s music would be killed by the
exaggerated measures. So if they cannot cross the borderline,
how will “Diabolic Impious Evil” sound like? More
melodic, more catchy, less blast oriented? This stupid
meditation ended up just when I gave “DIE” a first
spin.
And so?
And so the band fucked my ass hard with the new intense and
extreme record. It’s more brutal, it’s heavier and
more insane than “IB” itself, and it’s still
nothing related to noise. My expectation were blown out just
after the last guitar sound of “Goathorned Revenge”
faded away. If you were impressed with what Azarath achieved on
“Infernal Blasting”, then “Diabolic Impious
Evil” is a feast that will satisfy your psychopathic
needs. I’ll try to describe in a few words why this
bad-ass death metal album is so intense, and why Azarath is now
one of the most interesting death metal acts in the whole scene.
If you are that stupid as in not knowing nothing about this
Polish commando, then check out my “IB” description,
cause I won’t make any repetition here.
Three years have passed and nothing really changed in the
band’s style. The musicianship is of course far way better
and it fructifies with more mature songwriting. And so the
songwriting is the main key for understanding why
“DIE” is the best Azarath album so far. But the
music is still raw and brutal death/black growing out from the
roots of extreme music. Uncompromising visual and musical
transmission completes the vision of blasphemy you know since
before.
The whole thing starts with a gloomy guitar riff creating an
evil atmosphere before hell is unleashed with “Whip The
Whore”. Raging guitar storm, insanely fast drumming by
Inferno and the throaty growls of Bruno is everything Azarath
needs to… whip you like a whore. And it hurts pretty much.
Occasional shrilling solos are the cherry on the cake made of
steel and blood. But from the very beginning you can feel the
difference between “DIE” and previous records. The
riffs are not as entangled as before and more in
rockn’roll vein now. Of course it’s no Motörhead,
but a little less complicated riffing makes the songs more
in-your-face, if you understand what I mean. The band kicks your
ass as they did before, just a little bit harder now.
All of the other tracks can be divided into two parts. The first
one is full of short and extremely fast shoots balancing on the
edge of Formula 1. Just like in “For Satan My
Blood”, it never slows down for a second. The blasts are
intense, the riffs are short and rather blackish as opposed to
the obvious death metal style. They’re maybe
“easier” than before, but the arrangements are sick
enough to be able to feel the chaos hidden within
Azarath’s metal.
Additional noises and screams adds a another hint to this idea.
On the other hand, there are slower and more epic tracks like
“Anti-human, Anti-god” or the mentioned
“Goathorned Revenge”.
“Anti-human…” is an evil steamroller full of
speedy guitar lines mixed with some ballcrushing slower paces,
driven with some kind of trancy repetition. With the closer,
“Goathorned’s Revenge”, we are back to
Immolation influences again. Deep growl, monstrous, majestic
riffs and the feeling of intercoursing with something really
big. There is also a place for some guitar shrieks, but the
riffs pointed out with heavy blasting makes it the most
progressive track Azarath ever created.
I told you about the change in the writing style that makes this
album more listenable than the previous ones, but no less
uncompromising. For some reason it was like a breath of fresh
air into the lungs of a rather narrow music style. Good choice
and it paradoxically gives this music another level of
brutality. Applauses goes to Bart I guess. The new guitarist
Thrufel is killing us with some splendid solos. Inferno…
oh well, the name speaks for itself. He’s a devil behind
the kit, insanely fast when needed but very creative, so there
is no chance of meeting up with boredom here. To my surprise,
the voice of Bruno changes a little bit from the Bentonesque
style to a huge range of different growling types. Quite
impressive.
Lyrics? Everything is as it was before. No philosophy, no
metaphors, no social discussion. Just pure christhating,
goatworshipping blasphemy. Man, what do you expect from
“Baptised in sperm of the Antichrist”? What do you
expect from Azarath? There can be no changes in this matter.
Artwork and booklet? Another stylish devil (antipope?) painting
in the front, and some kind of unfolded folder as a booklet.
More devil faces, band members faces and lyrics. That’s
it.
The quality of the music you can find on “Diabolic Impious
Evil” is comparable to other Azarath’s monsterworks.
It’s still dedicated only to diehard extreme metal fans,
and gives no pleasure to the typical listener. The songwriting
is better, that’s a fact, and some structures are even
quite memorable – and that’s the thing that makes
“DIE” the best Azarath’s album so far. I hope
they’ll continue in this way. Give this shit a chance,
it’s nothing less than a killer album.

It's tough not to laugh at song titles like
"Baptized in Sperm of the Antichrist" or
"Intoxicated by Goat Vomit," or an album title that
essentially parses to "Evil Evil Evil." But Azarath
brings the fucking hammer, which isn't a surprise given that
Inferno from Behemoth is on drums and Trufel, from the
criminally underrated Yattering (RIP), is on guitar. Add members
of Cenotaph and Damnation, and you have one hell of a Polish
death metal supergroup.
Hell indeed seems to be the focus, but no printed lyrics came
with the promo. Perhaps that's just as well, since "For
Satan My Blood" and "Goathorned's Revenge" seem
self-explanatory. The music also speaks for itself. Behemoth can
get a bit mechanical at times, so Inferno sounds quite uncaged
here. The guitar work is smoking, with pick squeals and
whinnying leads galore. I love how how the solo in "Devil's
Stigmata" sounds like it walks into the room unannounced,
though in reality the song drops a bar or two to feel that way.
In his book, Extreme Metal: Music and Culture on the Edge, Keith
Kahn-Harris talks about how much of extreme metal is about
control. Death metal often feels like a gigantic clench, as
guitarists furrow their brows with technicality. This album,
though, feels like metallers taking breaks from their main bands
and blasting out some jams. Energy pours from this record; it's

Oto trzeci, bluźnierczy akt Trójmiejskiego AZARATH
objawił się w pełni. Cios iście nokautujący, pokazujący
jak powinno się grać piekielny death metal. Tym razem ekipa
Bruna przeszła samego siebie i zajebała tak mocno z kopyta, aż
brakuje mi słów by wyrazić w pełni to, co czuję po przesłuchaniu
"Diablic Impious Evil". Co niektórzy dziennikarze
stworzyli syndrom "trzeciej płyty" i choć nie zawsze
popierałem takie tezy, to w tym konkretnym przypadku muszę
przyznać, iż coś takiego w wypadku AZARATH ma miejsce. Aby
uargumentować tą tezę, na samym wstępie zaznaczę, iż jest
to album pod każdym względem przewyższający dwa poprzednie
krążki. Na pewno nie chodzi tu o to, że Inferno gra jeszcze
szybciej na perkusji i takie tam. W przypadku D.I.E. zespół w
znaczący sposób inaczej podszedł do samej muzyki i stworzył
coś co wychodzi poza dotychczasowe osiągnięcia zespołu. Już
po pierwszym wysłuchaniu można zauważyć iż, AZARATH
rozszerzył swą muzyczną formułę, dzięki czemu album ten
jest o wiele bardziej rozbudowany aranżacyjnie. Zespół
zrezygnował z totalnego napierdalania na rzecz bardziej
mrocznego i jednoczenie wciąż agresywnego ataku. Przejawia się
to głównie w sposobie budowania gitarowych riffów, które nie
tylko dają moc ale jednocześnie stanowią opus magnum. Mroczne
a jednoczenie brutalne riffy tworzą wysoki stopień napięcia,
ani na chwilę nie tracąc nic ze swojej drapieżności. Jeszcze
większego szaleństwa i polotu gitarowym wariacjom nadają solówki,
których na D.I.E. jest cała masa. Nie są to w prawdzie jakieś
wirtuozerskie popisy ale konkretne wstawki we właściwych
miejscach gdzie szaleństwo sięga zenitu. Duet gitarowy Bart -
Młody, spisał się na wysokości zadania. Ale to jeszcze nie
wszystko co kryje w sobie trójka. Koniecznie trzeba tu jeszcze
wspomnieć o poczynaniach Bruna i Inferna. Ten pierwszy nie dość,
że szarpie cztery struny basu to w dodatku wokalnie przeszedł
sam siebie. Wokale na albumie zrobione są perfekcyjnie.
Znakomita barwa, pełna nienawiści i piekielnej głębi. W tym
głosie czuć charyzmę Bruna i jego jadowite przesłanie
antychrześcijańskie. Piekielną atmosferę podgrzewa dodatkowo
Inferno - obecnie perkusista numer jeden w ekstremalnym graniu.
Mimo, iż o wyczynach tego Pana wiemy bardzo dużo, to wciąż
możemy być zaskoczeni. Na D.I.E. Inferno prezentuje się z
nieco innej strony. Jak zawsze imponuje nie tylko zawrotną
szybkością i zdumiewającą techniką. Na tej płycie znalazło
się coś jeszcze, co warto odkryć głęboko wsłuchując się
w zawartość. Już pierwszy trak w postaci "Whip The
Whore" pozwala to odczuć. Jednym słowem szaleństwo połączone
z niesamowitą ekspresją. Bez dwóch zdań album bez słabych
punktów i wypełniaczy, znakomicie brzmiący oraz
wyprodukowany. Wielki szacunek dla twórców. Pozostaje czekać,
aż ekipa z Trójmiasta zacznie robić karierę międzynarodową.
"Diablic Impious Evil" pozycja nie tylko dla tych co
wyznają tezę "For Satan My Blond", ale dla
wszystkich tych, którzy gustują w ekstremalnym metalu. Daje słowo
naprawdę warto. Pozycja obowiązkowa.

Diabolic Impious Evil is one of the best albums I've heard in years. The Polish four-piece Azarath is just bloodthirsty. Each element is strong; combined, they're devastating. The sheer speed is the first thing to grab your attention: Blasting, rolling drum lines pummel your ears, and an aggressive growl yells percussively about Satan. The clear, deep production is perfect for showcasing the true ability of Azarath. Despite the skillful drumming, the guitars are the best ingredient in Diabolic Impious Evil. They tackle verses with force, fast-picking their way through the intricate drums before plunging into a momentary, aggressive groove. Then an impossibly fast, melodic solo breaks out, followed by a new verse, even quicker and more evil than the last. The vocals add great support to Azarath's instrumentation, but they're nothing you haven't heard before. The drum-and-guitar combination, though, is one of the most energetic and brutal you're ever likely to hear. Always shifting and changing at breakneck speed, there is no room for repetitiveness or mediocrity. Each note hits tight and fast, and with a power that will turn your head. How their fingers survive after giving their guitars such a severe beating I can hardly imagine. Nor can I imagine a metal fan who won't like this savage, skillful offering from Azarath.

This is fucking brutal and intense Death Metal. Intricate. Straight forward. Fast as fuck. No doubt these guys really mean what they are playing, and that alone is greatly appreciated! Being in an outstanding Death Metal mood this is the jewel for the day! They hammer their way through the whole album, insanely managing to put their sickness into tunes of the finest music. Using the trademark disharmonic Death Metal riffs tastefully and with purpose, this album is a great positive surprise! Their own identity, their own brutality and a little touch of Immolation! Azarath is a Polish Brutal Death Metal act formed in 1998, by no one else than Inferno (Behemoth), Bruno (Damnation) and D. (Cenotaph). With this line up, the band recorded a couple of demos and two well-received full lengths; "Demon Seed" and "Infernal Blasting". After the recording of "Infernal Blasting", D. left the band, lately Bart (Damnation, Cenotaph) and Trufel (Yattering) were recluted as first and second guitar respectively… The style Azarath professes at this third and latest album could be labelled as turbulent, evil and sinister Death Metal in its most primal form. "Diabolic Impious Evil" is, as the title suggests, and extremely obscure and evil sounding piece of Death Metal of the highest calibre, where the turbulent and chaotic riffs, complemented by the high speed, violent drumming creates devastating scenarios of total death and destruction. The intense and brutal guitars work is definitely a highlight, becoming the main responsible for the incredibly dark atmospheres that surround this opus, with its interesting blend of vicious riffs and macabre lead guitar lines. All this is complemented by a killer vocal work that seems to be taken from the very guts of hell… The whole album moves at full speed, without a single rest, through straight and extremely effective passages of pure fucking violence…The lyrical content of this album deals with pure Satanism in its most blasphemous and explicit form, juts check the track titles and will find some pretty interesting ones such "Devil's Stigmata", "For Satan My Blood" or "Beast Inside", but also some pretty childish ones like "Baptized in Sperm of the Antichrist" and "Intoxicated by Goat Vomit" …anyway, this kind of issue doesn't rest merit to this destructive album. The cover art is also remarkable, really simple and obscure; following the same style of the band's preceding efforts, I kinda like when the bands aim to maintain a simple and characteristic style on its album's artworks… "Diabolic Impious Evil" is definitely a killer album, a really fine piece of blasphemous and brutal Death Metal art… If you like the obscure, sinister and brutal music, then you MUST check this album out. AZARATH, qui n'est plus un groupe a présenter aux habitués de l'Underground, débarque de sa Pologne natale avec un tout nouvel album qui confirme tous les espoirs que l'on aura placés en lui. "Diabolic Impious Evil" enfonce le clou une bonne fois pour toutes et catapulte le groupe au sommet grâce a un disque qui est – j'en ai bien peur – une merveille a ne pas rater. Gorgé de haine et d'une puissance toute brésilienne, l'album est pétri d'une sauvagerie totale, prenante, viscérale, directe.
Acclamons ce groupe qui vient foutre un nouveau caillou dans la godasse du patron du Vatican... combien de divisions?

Si "Demon Seed" et "Infernal Blasting" présentaient un groupe encore a l'état d'embryon, "Diabolic Impious Evil" révele une formation absolument épatante, mature et grandement fascinante. S'ils viennent de Pologne, leur Brutal Death n'a pas grand-chose a voir avec les cohortes de sous-VADER et les pique-assiettes qui changent de style au gré du vent. AZARATH mitraille une musique hargneuse qui combine quelques touches a la HATE époque "Lord Is Avenger" a un gros, un monumental, un somptueux feeling brésilien! On songe a REBAELLIUN mâtiné de ABHORRENCE. On est écrasé, pilonné sous un flot continu de blast beats hystériques et de riffs monstrueusement jouissifs. Mais le spectre qui plane le plus souvent au-dessus du carnage perpétué par AZARATH n'est autre que celui de KRISIUN.
La sauvagerie est omniprésente, saisissant l'auditeur par le fond du futal pour l'entraîner au cour du Royaume d'Hades (Hades Metal, ça va sans dire... hum...) La bestialité, la férocité monte crescendo jusqu'a l'apothéose de solos étincelants de puissance et de virtuosité. On est conquis, envahi, envouté par cette débauche de brutalité qui s'étend sur les dix titres de la rondelle. Au détour d'une chanson, on tombe nez a nez avec des plans dignes du grand DIABOLIC ("Supreme Evil") et, plus on explore les méandres de l'album, plus on y décele un côté INCANTATION-esque. Furieux et implacable, AZARATH est fait de l'étoffe des grands et n'oublie pas de sertir ses titres de refrains incantatoires (with Satan, ça va sans dire... oulalaaaa... ça va pas mieux!) propres a etre hurlés lors de crise de possession aiguë. Agrippez vos rosaires, AZARATH est du genre a chier dans les bénitiers! Phallelujah mes bien chers freres! Satan est la, sur ce disque, pret a vous piquer les miches de sa true-fourche! Haaa... qu'il est plaisant de se défouler sur un formidiable album de Brutal Death méga-ivöl et de jongler avec les klichés les plus éculés tout en tirant le Diable par la queue... Et puisqu'on parle de ça, admirez les titres que sont "Baptized In The Sperm Of The Antichrist" ou "For Satan My Blood"!!!

L'album est extraordinaire, on adore des la premiere seconde du premier titre, et cette extase s'accroît et s'amplifie au fil des écoutes! Cela faisait des lustres que je ne m'étais pas enthousiasmé de la sorte pour une pure boucherie de Unholy Soul Tormenting Brutal Blasting Death Fucking Metal from Hell!!! 666! Yearghk!... Oups... je m'égare...
La prod' est a l'image de la musique qu'elle sert: titanesque. "Diabolic Impious Evil" sait ne pas se vautrer dans le son plastique de ses compatriotes et démoule un son organique, intense, épais, cru, massif et pan-dans-ta-gueule! Les meilleurs adjectifs ne sauraient décrire l'Apocalypse qui vous tend les griffes! Un disque que l'on écoute en boucle sans meme s'en rendre compte (vous comprendrez en l'écoutant!)
Pour résumer tout ça: Tu aimes KRISIUN? Tu aimes HATE? Tu aimes DIABOLIC? Tu aimes OPHIOLATRY? Tu aimes Satan (meme pas un p'tit peu?) Bon, bah, on va pas épiloguer, file te procurer cette tuerie!

Aaarrgghh! No i tym niesamowicie oryginalnym wstępem, pokazującym
jakim to jestem okrutnie prawdziwym metalowcem, zacznę recenzję
trzeciego albumu tczewskich diabłożuli z formacji tanecznej co
się zowie AZARATH. Po krótkim gitarowym wstępie, które z
czymś mi się kojarzy, a może przez to niektórych granie w
DAMNATION, czasami przemycą jakowyś, taki podobny pierwiastek.
Nic to, następująca po nim kanonada dźwięków kawałka
"Whip The Whore" po prostu nisz-czy! To co zajebał na
najnowszym albumie AZARATH to potęga! Diabelski i
apokaliptyczny death metal pełną gębą. Co mi się tak tu
podoba, ano spieszę z wyjaśnieniem - o ile na poprzednich
materiałach zwyczajnie brakowało mi tej iskierki, tego
zapalnika, który spowodowałby, że w całe to bestialstwo i
ultra szybką napiżdżankę wdarł się element przebojowości,
takie coś co niesie po prostu tą muzę na skrzydłach. Wcześniej
była, mniej lub więcej, dobra, aczkolwiek jałowa
napierdalanka i chociaż była ona dla diabła, to diabła było
tam za mało, jak dla mnie. No. A tutaj proszę, co kawałek, to
zajebisty cios - "Devil's Stigmata", "Anti-human,
Anti-God", cudny "Screamin' Legions Death Metal",
tu mamy po prostu esencję, barwy walki jak chuj! AZARATH
pojechał z całym potencjałem, z całą gamą .środków jakie
powinny się składać na perfekcyjny death metalowy album!
Aaah, dalej "Angel's Assassins" czy zamykający
"Goathorned's Revenge" utwierdzają mnie jedynie w
przekonaniu, że tron bluźnierczego death metalu leży w zasięgu
grupy tczewskich opojów! Chyba zadziałała magia trójki.

"Diabolic Impious Evil" to już trzecia płyta
tczewskich bluźnierców z AZARATH i - tak jak poprzednie -
nagrana w tych samych studiach (Hertz i Hendrix) i wydana przez
Pagan. Trzy lata trzeba było czekać na owo Diaboliczne Bezbożne
Zło i myślę, że dla tych, którzy cenią sobie ten zespół,
nie był to czas stracony. Ja osobiście gustuję w nieco innych
klimatach i brutalny, bezkompromisowy death metal jestem w
stanie dłużej znieść jedynie na koncercie, ale mimo wszystko
potrafię jeszcze rozpoznać dobry warsztat, pomysły i muzykę,
tak więc w tym momencie chylę czoło w stronę AZARATH, bo w
piękny sposób łeb urywają. Muzyka tej grupy jest niebanalna
i dokładnie przemyślana. Nie ma w niej miejsca na przypadkowy
chaos, a gitarowe, ostre jak brzytwa dziadka wcięcia są dokładnie
tam, gdzie powinny być, Inferno napierdala, że aż miło, a pełni
zła dopełnia bluźnierczy wokal Bruna. "Diabolical Impius
Evil" to dziesięć utworów (33 minuty) ekstremalnie
szybkiego, brutalnego, a zarazem technicznego death metalu o
wspaniałym brzmieniu - oto co serwuje nam AZARATH. Jak

There are ex members of Behemoth and Damnation here, so you can
expect good brutal music. The album opens calmly with the first
arpeggios of "Whip the Whore" before brutality enters
a fast break where the drumming shines and then the ultra fast
riffing begins. The music here is extremely fast with killer
riffs and hyperspeed in the drums. You want a guy who plays
ultra fast ride cymblas patterns or blast beats? Here you have
it. Guttural vocals are combined with more of the screaming type
that also do unison patterns in order to add more brutality to
the music. The guitars are fast and furious delivering riff
after riff with no mercy and a raw yet loud sound. The overall
sound is raw yet loud and clear letting the guitars shine and
the drums crush the listener´s brain. Brutality and darkness,
hand in hand in Azarath´s music !!!

Tej nazwy chyba nikomu, kto choć trochę siedzi w rodzimym
podziemiu, nie trzeba przedstawiać. AZARATH istnieje już parę
lat i zdążył sobie przez ten czas wyrobić jakąś tam
opinie. Może na tą chwilę nie jest jeszcze tak znany na świecie
jak niektóre polskie kapele (choć w zasadzie nie byłbym tego
taki pewien), ale myślę, że to bardzo szybko się zmieni za
sprawą ich najnowszego bluźnierstwa wydanego przez rodzimy
Pagan Records, "Diabolic Impious Evil". Jest to
kwintesencja tego co w piekielnym death metalu najlepsze. Od
samego początku mamy do czynienia z lawiną zasypujących nas
blastów, diabelskich riffów z piekła rodu i niszczycielskich,
wręcz miażdżących wokaliz Bruna. Jest to zdecydowanie
najlepszy materiał jaki ta ekipa nagrała. Pomimo tego, że ciągle
tworzą w starym stylu to pierwiastki współczesności również
przewijają się przez ich twórczość, przez co ich muzyka
jest tak niszczycielska. Mocy całości dodaje piekielne
brzmienie uzyskane oczywiście u Braci Wiesławskich. Ogromny
plus należy się gitarzystom, którzy w porównaniu do
poprzednich produkcji grają jeszcze bardziej różnorodnie,
destrukcyjnie. Czuć w ich muzyce diabła (choć tego to akurat
nigdy im nie brakowało), spływającą po ścianach smołę i
zatruwający umysł smród siary. Po kontakcie choćby z takimi
utworami jak "Baptized In Sperm Of The Antichrist",
"For Satan My Blond" czy "Anti Human, Anti
God" nie jest się w stanie przez dłuższy czas normalnie
funkcjonować z powodu odniesionych obrażeń. AZARATH to po
prostu nic innego, jak tylko wojenna machina, która powoduje
taki rozpierdol, że nic nie jest w stanie jej powstrzymać.
Dlatego zanim przystąpicie do otwartej wojny z "Diabolic
Impious Evil" zastanówcie się dobrze czy jesteście na nią
gotowi, bo później nie będzie już odwrotu.

It's tough not to laugh at song titles like "Baptized
in Sperm of the Antichrist" or "Intoxicated by Goat
Vomit," or an album title that essentially parses to
"Evil Evil Evil." But Azarath brings the fucking hammer,
which isn't a surprise given that Inferno from Behemoth is on
drums and Trufel, from the criminally underrated Yattering (RIP),
is on guitar. Add members of Cenotaph and Damnation, and you have
one hell of a Polish death metal supergroup
Hell indeed seems to be the focus, but no printed lyrics came with
the promo. Perhaps that's just as well, since "For Satan My
Blood" and "Goathorned's Revenge" seem
self-explanatory. The music also speaks for itself. Behemoth can
get a bit mechanical at times, so Inferno sounds quite uncaged
here. The guitar work is smoking, with pick squeals and whinnying
leads galore. I love how how the solo in "Devil's
Stigmata" sounds like it walks into the room unannounced,
though in reality the song drops a bar or two to feel that way.
In his book, Extreme Metal: Music and Culture on the Edge, Keith
Kahn-Harris talks about how much of extreme metal is about
control. Death metal often feels like a gigantic clench, as
guitarists furrow their brows with technicality. This album,
though, feels like metallers taking breaks from their main bands
and blasting out some jams. Energy pours from this record.

Impious Evil is definitely nothing for lovers of melodies, but if
you are into bands like Krisiun, than you are right with AZARATH.
Already the opener Whip The Whore shows very clearly how the next
thirty minutes will sound like. Extreme fast, super brutal death
metal, supported by an enormous heavy production, is offered to
the fans. And then listen to the vocals of bassist Bruno! You will
get the feeling, that hell opens its gates in an acoustic form.
Insanity! With incomprehensible intensity roars this tall-grown
guy from ultra catholic Poland his hate against Christianity into
the microphone. And that he doesn't sing about the last date with
his girlfriend, you can see very clearly through songtitles like
Baptized In Sperm Of The Antichrist, For Satan My Blood, Screamin'
Legions Death Metal or Intoxicated By Goat Vomit. On Diabolic
Impious Evil everything is perfect! Already the front-cover
artwork looks due to its simple, but nevertheless very blasphemous
kind very cool, because thus the fans will be joined in perfectly
to what awaits them. The most brutal death metal you can imagine!
Racing guitars, thundering drums and wonderful deep growls, which
centrifuge out the ultimate blasphemy! Death metal soul, what do
you want more?

„Brutal, Brutaler, AZARATH“ – Diesen Satz wird
man garantiert in einigen Reviews über dieses Werk wieder finden,
denn nichts Anderes bringt die Musik der vier Brutalo Polen so
genau auf den Punkt. Diese liefern jetzt in nunmehr 9 Jahren
Bandgeschichte ihr drittes Album ab, welches den schwarzmetallisch
klingenden Namen „Diabolic Impious Evil“ trägt.
Anders als der Titel vermuten lässt, ist die Scheibe nur mit
einem minimalen BM Touch versehen und prescht ansonsten von Einer
zur nächsten Knüppelorgie, und zwar in heftigster Brutal Death
Metal Manier.
Das täuschende Intro lässt mittels beruhigenden Gitarrenklängen
eher das Gegenteil davon vermuten, was der Hörer in der folgenden
Halben Stunde um die Ohren geklatscht bekommt. Ein höllisch
schnelles Riff jagt das nächste, wobei die Drums die
Tempomesslatte richten. Dies sollte eigentlich nicht verwundern,
denn Drummer Inferno malträtiert die Felle außerdem bei der
allseits bekannten Prügeltruppe BEHEMOTH. Ingesamt ist das
technische Niveau sehr hoch gehalten, so spielen die anderen
Bandmitglieder ebenfalls bei größeren Bands wie DAMNATION oder
WITCHMASTER. Dementsprechend orientiert sich auch die Musik
AZARATHS. Sympathisch dabei ist mir, dass sich die Jungs dem
traditionelleren Death Metal verschrieben haben, anstatt mit
pseudobrutalen Stimmverzerrern diverse Lächerlichkeiten
aneinander zu reihen.
Leider ist dieses Werk jedoch ein Musterbeispiel für das
Hauptproblem der meisten Brutal Death Metal Bands. Durch die
unmenschlich schnelle Rifffolge und das gnadenlos pustende
Drumming gehen viele der in der Tat starken Gitarrenläufe einfach
an mir vorbei und somit ist mein Interesse nach etwa 4-5 sehr ähnlich
klingenden Songs nahezu minimalisiert. So ist es kaum möglich die
Stücke zu unterscheiden, wozu der etwas identitätslose Gesang
leider zusätzlich beiträgt.
Etwas aufatmen lassen mich lediglich die tollen, melodischen Soli,
die in fast jedem der 10 Songs aufzufinden sind. Demnach ist es
bloß erwähnter Aspekt und die streckenweise tollen Riffs, die
„Diabolic Impious Evil“ aus dem Sumpf der
Belanglosigkeit ziehen und zumindest zu einem ganz ordentlichen
Werk aufwerten. Trotzdem kann ich es nur an hartnäckige Death
Metal Fans oder Liebhaber von Metal in Lichtgeschwindigkeit
empfehlen, alle Anderen täten wohl besser daran, sich weiterhin
an BEHEMOTH zu halten.

Third blasphemy of this Polish death metal force. I never
heard the band before but my jaw went down after the first
listening. This kind of death is my favorit. It is evil, diabolic,
aggressive, brutal, intense, blasting and satanic. The line up of
the bands hide members who played with Behemoth, Damnation,
Yattering. Almost Polish all star... Growling vocals, full
blasting drums and fast slicing riffing with wicked leads (like
Slayer did in their early days). The songs are chaotic sounding
due to the intensity and brutality but they just rock! This album
is obligatory for those who say they lov satanic death metal!

que l’on ne présente plus - non n’insistez pas, bon
allez je vais le faire apres - dont la technicité est toujours un
élément important.
Azarath a été formé en 2000 et on retrouve du beau monde
puisque Inferno, batteur de Behemoth, Trufel de Yattering
nouvellement recruté comme deuxieme guitariste et Bart de
Damnation font partie du line up. Le groupe a donc de l’expérience
surtout qu’il a notamment participé a la tournée de Vader
en 2002 pour « Révélation » et nous parlerons ici de
son troisieme album apres DEMON SEED et INFERNAL BLASTING en 2003.
On pourrait dire qu’ils reviennent et qu’ils ne sont
pas contents, sortez les bracelets a clous et préparez vous ça
va dépoter.
Ici on ne fait pas dans la dentelle, des le début on reconnais le
style d’Inferno, quel jeu et quelle précision mes aieux, ça
met une claque. Sa vitesse dans Béhémoth est exploitée de la
meme façon et on retrouve son jeu de cymbale caractéristique,
ses breaks sur les passages « ambiants», qui font tout
de suite penser a Behemoth, surtout que le jeu des guitaristes
aide pas mal a ça, c’est typiquement Polonais et Trufel est
toujours aussi bon.
La voix est excellente, on comprend bien ce que dit le chanteur,
qui a vraiment de bons placements de voix.
Du bon gros Brutal Death Polonais, avec touche black comme on aime
(pas vous ?), puisque la musique me fait penser a un mélange
entre Behemoth, Yattering, Crionics et Hate. Si vous etes fan vous
etes obligés d’aimer. Contrairement a pas mal de
productions américaines, je trouve que le style se laisse écouter
plus longtemps sans lasser ou nous filer un gros mal de tete au
bout de plusieurs écoutes consécutives et est surtout plus
original.
L’album comporte 10 morceaux d’une intensité extreme
dans lesquels a chaque fois la précision, la technicité et la
violence sont présentes, c’est tres carré et bien exécuté.
Le son n’est pas aussi propre qu’un « Demigod
» de Behemoth, mais il est puissant et on entend bien tous
les instruments qui sont bien placés dans le mix. Les morceaux
s’enchaînent bien, on n’a pas le temps de souffler et
l’album est a peine passé qu’on a envie d’y
retourner. 30 minutes, c’est trop court, on en redemande.
Tout comme Crionics on a affaire a une imagerie plutôt Black, ici
on est evol et les enfers sont a portés de main. Le visuel
toujours plutôt True est ici épuré au maximum.
Un album énorme qui nous fait encore plus attendre le prochain
Behemoth avec impatience pour retrouver le jeu de batterie dévastateur
d’Inferno. Fan de la Pologne ruez vous sur l’album,
vous ne le regretterez pas. Ce groupe est en passe de devenir tout
comme ses collegues cités plus haut, un des meilleurs groupes
polonais. Bon maintenant je vais retirer mes clous, c’est
lourd ces trucs la ! 8.5/10

It's really great when a great band just comes out of nowhere and
breaks every bone of your fragile body; Azarath is one of those
bands, no use wondering why, they feature members from Yattering,
Damnation and the one and only "Inferno" from Behemoth,
now you do the math.
"Diabolic Impious Evil" is their third full-length if
I'm not mistaken, the saddeing part is that, even with three
incredible releases, Azarath remains unknown by the Death Metal
masses. Back to their new album; the band offers chaotic Brutal
Death Metal with a Blackened touch thrown in the mix, kind of what
Behemoth did in "Demigod" but even darker and colder,
creating a lot of grim atmospheres combined with brutal solos and
blast-beats.
You can't lose with a line-up like this one; I already knew this
was going to be a great musical experience without even hear the
album. The talented musicians deliver great songwriting skills,
tight execution and blasting structures; the production helps a
lot as well, the sound is clean and really piercing, making all
the instruments clear as water and loud as hell.
As good as this album is, it still doesn't qualifies as a
masterpiece; the general scheme (brutal as the day is long) lacks
of catchy tunes for us to remember, and then, the only
"truly" remarkable song (for its preservation) would be
Screamin' Legions Death Metal just for being the only song
featuring mid-paced riffs and catchy beats. Still, the cuts are
managed in a "non-stop action", so you'll be able to sit
and hear the whole thing without a rest, your ears will probably
bleed and your head will almost explode for the brutality on this
album, but, in the end, it's totally worthwhile.
Brutal-Freaks must hear this album, Behemoth need to hear what
"Inferno" crafted here and Death Metal aficionados will
be really pleased with "Diabolic Impious Evil". Don't
mind the cover artwork though; I also thought this was Raw-Black
Metal.

Zacznijmy od tego, że w tej recenzji nie ma mowy o obiektywnym
opisaniu trzeciego albumu diabłów z Pomorza. Po prostu. Moja
dusza nie należy do imć Lucyfera, lecz do tych czterech wysłanników
piekieł i nic na to nie poradzę, nawet jakbym chciał.
Tym razem nie czekałem na promówkę. Zakupiłem album zapakowany
w slipcase. Ściągam tenże i mym oczom ukazuje się okładka
zgodna z przyjętym przez Azarath schematem - czerń i biel, obraz
przypominający jakąś rycinę. Layout pozbawioby jest
przesadnych ozdobników, jednak daleko mu do blackmetalowej
konwencji "czerń + biel". Azarath udowadnia, że nie
potrzeba piętnastu pentagramów i siedmiu odwróconych krzyży w
logo, aby nadać okładce iście diablego klimatu.
Zawartość muzyczna "DIE" przybrała trochę inny
wymiar, niż to miało miejsce do tej pory. Początkowo przeżyłem
szok, gdyż płytę otwiera motyw do złudzenia przypominający
zagrywkę znaną z Immolation "Close to A Word Below".
Całe szczęście okazało się, że jest to tylko złudzenie,
tudzież swoiste poczucie humoru Nieświętej Czwórcy. Sama płyta
jest bardziej melodyjna niż wcześniejsze dokonania Azarath. Nie
znaczy to oczywiście, że zaczęli grać jak In Flames czy inny
Children Of Bodom. Żadnych słodkich czy homoseksualnych
melodyjek. Wokale są zróznciowane, jednakże pozbawione
przesadnego kombinowania typu góralskie zaśpiewy, czy czerstwe
pianie do księżyca. Jedynie Inferno nadal robi swoje, co jednak
w jego przypadku nie jest zarzutem. Trochę się obawiałem, że
Azarath zacznie zjadać swój ogon, bo szczerze powiedziawszy,
przy takim łojeniu, ciężko coś nowego wymyślić. Całe szczęście
udało im się wybrnąć z tego zadania z tarczą. Skoro o
zmianach mowa - na dobre wyszło Azarath przyjęcie w swe szeregi
gitarzysty, nieistniejacego już niestety, Yattering - Thrufla.
Solosy w jego wykonaniu naprawdę wgniatają w ziemię i
zostawiaja na długi czas traumę w umyśle niczego niespodziewającego
się słuchacza.
Metamorfozy nie ominęły również brzmienia. Opłaciło się
Azarath rozłożyć sesję na dwa studio (Hendrix i kultowy już
Hertz). Malta i bracia Wiesławscy jak zwykle nie dali ciała i
wykonali swą pracę wręcz śpiewająco. Wszystko brzmi
selektywnie, a zarazem potężnie i brudno. Czuć siarę, nie ma
miejsca na wypacykowane brzmienie a'la Dimmu Borgir, zarazem
realizatorzy nie poszli za trendem kultu oldskula i nie
wygenerowali kartonowych garów i siejących gitar.
Nie ma sensu nic więcej pisać, wystarczy zakupić album, przesłuchać,
po czym zadzwonić po egzorcystę, tudzież przyłączyć się do
"Screamin' legions Death Metal"! Ja wybrałem tę drugą
opcję.

Brutal Death Metal very similar to current Behemoth, but with more
of an oldschool DM approach is the best description I can give for
these guys. In fact, if I didn't know better, i'd swear this was
Behemoth. Then, I come to find that these guys feature Inferno,
drummer of Behemoth! Fast, technical, and satanic as hell... if
you are the type who must own all Blasphemous death metal, then I
suggest you bust open your piggy banks, send in that hard earned
dough, and get ready to be pummeled by these Polish maniacs. You

"Diabolic Impious Evil" is the third release
from these Polish dudes. If you've never experienced this band so
far, note that they play Death Metal in one on the most brutal
way. The 10 tracks are about extremely fast and wild D.M with many
grinding parts, and low scolding vocals. They won't let any
resting time all along this release, expected nothing but speed
chainsaw spiced with devilish ultra hasty solos. One can really
feel that D.M combos such as Vader and Behemoth have been heavy
influences in the Slovanic lands and Azarath keeps on the same
path wit their own interpretation of how D.M such be played. As
far as I'm concerned I've never been fan of brutal D.M, thence
this release didn't evoke any deep inside demons to bang my head
til Death. This album is fast fucking fast, so if you like that
way of D.M, get it !

your a fan of Deicide, vital remains, Older Morbid angel or even
the more brutal Napalm death then AZARATH is manditory ownership
for you. This is one pissed off band with a vocalist that revivals
Glen Benton for the Satanic majesty that is being created here.
This style as of late seems to be coming back a bit more from the
90's but this is by far the strongest if not one of the strongest
releases of the Satanic Black Death genre. AZARATH is all about
being metal and let me tell you they should be very proud on a

Dat er in Polen een boel mensen problemen hebben met het daar nog
immer heersende katholieke geloof dat wisten we al wel middels
legio black dan wel death metal bandjes uit die contreien die
heulen met een of ander satanisch imago.
Ook bij Azarath lijkt het nog steeds heel diep te zitten. De
woeste, über-agressieve death metal op 'Diabolic Impious Evil'
lijkt hen door de duistere heer zelf ingegeven te zijn en is van
een bijzonder hoog niveau. Waar Vader al jaren hetzelfde trucje
uithaalt, gaat Azarath met hun trucje aan de haal. Typische
Vader-riffs worden gewoonweg beter gebruikt en agressiever
gespeeld en afgewisseld met militante (let op de mars ritmes!)
stamp passages en onvoorspelbare gitaar riffs. Het hoge niveau
wordt nog niet constant volgehouden (zo kent afsluiter
'Goathorned's Revenge' een weinig overtuigende begin riff), maar
er staat meer dan genoeg geniaal Pools geweld op om eender welke
satanist te vriend te houden.

Diabolic Impious Evil is the third full-length release of
Poland’s Azarath on Pagan Records. Azarath’s line up
is rounded up of Bruno on Vocals and Bass, Thrufel on Guitar, Bart
on Guitar, and Inferno on Drums.
From the start of Whip the Whore, I could tell Diabolic Impious
Evil would be one demonized slab of Death/Black Metal. Musically
Azarath seems like a lethal formation of Immolation, Krisiun, and
Angelcorpse. Whip the Whore is also chaotic, but well balanced and
controlled. Inferno’s blast-beats are like a whip lashing
and peeling off the skin, with each heavy and piercing strike.
Devil’s Stigmata begins with some mechanical riffing with
doses of short chaotic and sometimes fast guitars, as Bruno
unleashes some Death Metal demonic growls with his bass chugging
along with the rest of the instruments. For Satan My Blood is one
of my favorite songs on the album due to the fact it contains a
crazy Immolation style guitar solo. Angels Assassins 666 is an
overall brutal song packed with crushing guitars and then out of
nowhere Azarath unleashes, the Immolation style demons for a
second around the one minute forty-five second mark.
Goathorned’s Revenge is a hammering track, with a sense and
feel of groove in the guitars and Inferno’s drumming
techniques are top notch, as he alternates between blasting and
drum fills.
The production on Diabolic Impious Evil is perfect, as each riff
and drum beat is decipherable, this was done and accomplished at
Hertz Studio. If Diabolic Impious Evil sounds this brutal,
Azarath’s prior albums will cause slaying, bleeding, and
dying. Fans of the Death/Black Metal sound need to pick up this
album, because I am sure it is one of the best Death/Black Metal
releases of 2006. 9/10

Do you like Sadistic Intent? How about Krisiun and Hacavitz? Does
Hate Eternal’s one-speed attack leave you desiring something
more? Enter stage right: Azarath’s third album, Diabolic
Impious Evil, and I hope for your sake you emptied your bowels,
because these four sick Polish bastards are gonna’ knock the
living shit out of you.
It’s rare that music sounds dangerous to me, and the goal of
Azarath is seeing how far the arterial spray goes after battering
you with this positively lethal disc, and they do it with style.
It feels like lying in salt water while suffering from sunburn. We
get nasty, nasty blasting drum patterns supplied by Behemoth's
Inferno, and he refuses to lock into merely one mode and plainly
bash away. Lightning fast rolls, tastefully complex fills,
arrhythmic tempos and inexhaustible energy is unleashed through
one ballistic tune after the next. Scathingly melodious solos,
crazy harmonics, riffs so furious you wonder how their wrists
aren’t broken after playing this run rampant throughout.
There is a little song in the center of the world, and its sound
is like razors through flesh. Azarath more than likely composed
it, and oh what sights they have to show you.
Excellent production compliments Diabolic Impious Evil as the
guitar tone is just deadly (with the volume on low, it still
sounds wicked), forming a molten landslide of violent tremolo like
multitudes of pissed off hornets trapped in a huge helmet fastened
securely around your pustule-ridden skull. This album is never
boring, never predictable, and while not wholly original, it is
exemplary for the genre. People talk of the lack of passion in
death metal? This is no run of the mill project. Multi-layered
vocals from the deep caverns of black/death depravity rise in
tracks like “Whip The Whore”, “Devil’s
Stigmata”, and “Intoxicated By Goat Vomit”. I
don’t often hear such clear articulation with this style of
extreme metal, but here it is.
You really need to own this album if you’re any fan of death
metal. Azarath display a hideously effective talent for assembling
groove, aggression, and outright insanity on the short and
to-the-point Diabolic Impious Evil. Technically arresting and
classy for the genre, yet bloodthirsty as all fuck, these guys
have captured my full, undivided attention, and I usually nap
through stuff like this. I will go so far as to say this is the
most badass death metal album I’ve heard this year, and
I’d call you a complete idiot for passing on buying it
should the opportunity present itself. Seek, listen at
ear-splitting volume, and prepare to temporarily forget every
other death metal album you’ve heard in 2006.

Azarath machen es kurz und schmerzhaft. Eine gute halbe Stunde
aufgeteilt in zehn kurzweilige Foltereinheiten, das sollte
reichen, auch den letzten Funken Frohsinn aus dieser Welt zu
verbannen.
Nach den spielzeittechnisch noch kürzer ausgefallenen Vorgängeralben
"Demon Seed" und "Infernal Blasting" taucht
das vierköpfige polnische Ungeheuer nun zum dritten Mal aus der
Versenkung auf, überfällt uns mit "Diabolic Impious
Evil" und verschwindet wieder im Schatten seiner Landsleute
Behemoth, Damnation und Witchmaster - aus deren Reihen rekrutieren
sich nämlich die Mitglieder des seit 1998 bestehenden Projektes
Azarath. Zum lyrischen Inhalt der Platte ist zu sagen, dass ohne
Konzept losgelegt und der schwarzthematische Klischee-Gemüsegarten
einmal komplett umgeackert wird, wobei Songtitel wie
"Baptized In Sperm Of The Antichrist" und
"Intoxicated By Goat Vomit" eine deutliche Sprache
sprechen dürften. Auch die handwerklichen Aspekte sind schnell
abgehandelt: Aggressiv, brutal, chaotisch gut - anders war es
angesichts der Starbesetzung auch nicht zu erwarten. Die dicke,
fette Produktion des inzwischen wohl stocktauben Mischers passt
ebenfalls wie die Faust aufs Auge.
Azarath erheben keine Ansprüche auf den Death Metal-Thron und
geben sich auch keine Mühe, diesbezüglich auffällig zu werden.
Den vier Herren geht es einzig darum, ihre überschüssigen
Energien in rücksichtslos aggressive und destruktive Musik
umzuwandeln - und das ist ihnen einmal mehr gelungen. Kein grosses
Kunstwerk, aber ein kleines Meisterwerk. Kopf ab!

little animation on Azarath's website, and really, those three
words are all you need to know. "Diabolic Impious Evil"
is the third full-length album from this Polish assault-corps,
after 2001's "Demon Seed" and 2004's "Infernal
Blasting", and it distills those three primal elements into a
potent and ferocious slice of brutality. From the time the deadly
drum battery of opening track "Whip The Whore" kicks in
(and it doesn't take its time), it's clear that Azarath's business
is technical, merciless, face-smashing Satanic death metal. Formed
in 1998, Azarath boasts some of Europe's elite death metal
musicians, who have contributed to outfits such as Behemoth, The
Yattering and Damnation. Their sound has been compared to that of
Immolation, Incantation, and Krisiun, and also has sonic echoes of
the members' other ventures. However, this is not some soulless
side-project. Azarath is its own creature, and there's enough
passion, energy and sheer overwhelming ability on "Diabolic
Impious Evil" that it should be judged on its own merits. And
its merits are plentiful.
The first thing to note about "Diabolic Impious Evil" is
that the production quality is fantastic. Real care has been taken
to ensure that every riff and growl is decipherable and doesn't
get lost in the chaos, while at the same time allowing the music
to remain brutal and natural. The stomping, frenetic riffs and
icy, screaming leads courtesy of guitarists Bart and Thrufel layer
up to create a chaotic, aggressive, often groovy sound,
underpinned at all times by Inferno of Behemoth fame on drums, and
singer Bruno's "bulldozer" bass lines. The guitar
playing is technical without sounding clinical- it is still dirty,
sinister and furious. The drumming on this album is breath-taking,
with Inferno varying his approach from song to song, and never
sounding workmanlike. Check out the double-bass riot on the track
"Screamin' Legions Black Metal" for a taste of his
technical skill- you can feel those beats in the back of your
skull.
Bruno's vocals fit in with the sound really well; his strong growl
is an important element in the structure of the songs, not just a
random grunt intended to lose itself in the mix. The vocal lines
have a lot of poise and menace, and often serve to anchor the pace
of the songs. Whereas the drumming and lead guitar often approach
frenzied speeds, the vocals are generally more measured, which
effectively controls and highlights the power of the tracks
without dampening it. The overall effect is to make these tracks
sound like songs, not just guitar work-outs. In addition, several
of the tracks on this album, for example "Devil's
Stigmata", "Whip The Whore" and "Beast
Inside" have simplistic, anthemic, shouty choruses that I'm
sure will work well in terms of audience participation when played
live! Lyrically, Azarath favour evil Satanic themes and hatred for
Christianity over the common gore approach (although it must be
said that "Baptised in the Sperm of Antichrist" and
"Intoxicated by Goat Vomit" are fairly disgusting
notions, thank you boys), and this is most evident on the track
"For Satan My Blood", which is a short, sharp manifesto
of the Azarath ideology.
There really aren't any bad tracks on "Diabolic Impious
Evil", so it's hard to choose a few that stand out, but to my
mind "Angels' Assassins" is a particularly good song. It
is exemplary of the huge, powerful sound the band achieve across
this album, with Bruno reaching new, evil depths in his vocals,
and the frantic, powerful riffs having a slightly blackened edge
to them at times, with a more complex mix of textures being used.
The lead guitar is insistent and icy, and of course there is time
for one of Azarath's trademark insane solos in the middle- they
can be found scattered throughout the album, and are worthy of
Morbid Angel in their inventive meandering. In fact, the range of
elements in the songs on "Diabolic Impious Evil" is one
of its most interesting features; although most of the tracks are
very short and the album weighs in at a little over 30 minutes,
the level of technical complexity never falters, and there seems
to always be room to squeeze in one more riff, solo or drum fill.
In all, it's criminal that Azarath are not more widely spoken-of.
They are more than the sum of their parts, and when your members
have such an impressive pedigree, that's really saying something.
I'm willing to stick my neck out here and say that if you like
extreme metal, you're going to lap this up. Of course, it is
brutal, ferocious death metal, and I'm not going to pretend you
won't have heard something similar before, but the quality of the
musicianship, song-writing and production, along with the sheer
headbang potential of "Diabolic Impious Evil", will
appeal to a lot of people. Whip the Whore!

LIERS IN WAIT to the ferocity of Brazilian blast commandos
KRISIUN, NEPHASTH, ABHORRENCE without turning as monotonous as the

natural production AZARATH’s third album definitely belongs
to the best releases in the field of really extreme, bestial and
hateful death metal profiting from riffs that make you wanna rip

In time the package from Pagan records with last releases as, be
late it a little has come, and reviews of this material would not
get any more in this release. And readers would learn about, on an
example, AZARATH, with a delay. Why I speak about it, yes because
if you have already read through interview with Pagan records in
this release, should remember a phrase of the chief of a label,
that new AZARATH will be simply killing material. And in actual
fact it has appeared the cleanest truth! Only having looked at a
cover executed in old-school spirit, I at once have assumed, that
expects us here something good))). Well and, having heard to a
disk up to the end, I... At once has included it all over again!
AZARATH play death metal, and not any there trendy, but that, old
which bears in itself indescribable, force majeure, power,
devilishly unique rage and the fury which has been splashed out to
face in the form of metal clots of blood! Fast, grasping attention
and melodies bewitching spirit, destructive all on the way a
rhythm-section, technical work of musicians. Rigid, fettering
guitar riffs, catching your reason and hearing, real death metal
slaughter, naturally, has not done without solo attacks which here
not in a smaller measure it is delightful lay down on hearing...
hellish destructive work of the drummer, and, know, that most in
this business pleasant so it how these most drum-type parties
together with other forcemeat are registered, here all we (in the
majority) we love such business when on record drums are
registered precisely, turned on the necessary level where it is
audible each knock, plus improbably swinging, pressing the
listener in the ground flanks! It Is assured, if drum-type parties
on "Diabolic Impious Evil" were not so are densely
deduced, the material would not be so strong by way of perception.
Further, very fast melodies, believe, really carrying away in
anywhere high-speed atrocities! And not somewhere in the middle of
an album, and since the first song, especially in the end where
solo and other stuffing it is trying one after another... Very
much catching and it is improbably strong! And so during all
album, failures of the rhythms, the pressing atmosphere, guitar
parties cutting for pieces, fast, powerful, destroying drum-type
parties, it is pleasant air guitar solo, excellent, not less
powerful growl-vocal, well and, naturally, blasphemous lyrics
("Baptized In Sperm Of The Antichrist" - is more
tremendous, whether not so))), "Anti-Human, Anti-god",
"Goathorned's Revenge", or a track at number 6 -
"Screamin ' Legions Death Metal" - the name in spirit
DISMEMBER, do not find?)... In general to tell about good from
this record it is possible long so, it will be better, dear fans
Real hellish Death Metal, to you already ??????? this sweet sin -
AZARATH, from listening this disk I guarantee indescribable
pleasure on 101%! Well and to dandies I do not advise here to be
put, because you will not understand Music.

Azarath nadal rządzi a death metal króluje. To
niezaprzeczalny fakt, który inicjuje nowe dzieło czarcich synów,
zatrutych rzygowinami kozła i noszących dumnie diabelskie
stygmaty. Zanim przejdę jednak do meritum, zaskakująca bądź
nie konkluzja już na początek – po przesłuchaniu nowej płyty
Azarath nadal utrzymuję, że opus magnum grupy zawarte zostało
na „Infernal Blasting”. Inna sprawa, że Bruno i
koledzy mają zapewne takie uwagi głęboko gdzieś. Przekonany o
takiej postawie zespołu piszę co następuje. „Diabolic
Impious Evil” to dawka śmiertelnego metalu zagranego z
takim zapamiętaniem, że aż człowiek przysiada. Maszyna Azarath
niszczy i miele bardzo sprawnie. Tym razem jednak zamiast
sterylnej i chirurgicznej precyzji w zabijaniu postawiono na szał
i mordowanie wszystkiego na oślep. Inaczej zrealizowano gitary,
inne są proporcje między instrumentami a wszystko podporządkowane
osiągnięciu wrażenia chaosu i brudnego, obskurnego brzmienia.
Udało się w stu procentach. Począwszy od „Whip The
Whore” a na „Goathorned’s Revenge” skończywszy
Azarath zasuwa do przodu i sieje dźwiękowy terror na najwyższym
poziomie. Ich death metal starej szkoły prezentuje się wyjątkowo
atrakcyjnie właśnie dzięki dewastującej technice muzyków, którzy
nawet z najprostszych pomysłów i riffów wyciągają moc i
prawdziwe piekło. Niekwestionowany mistrz świata w okładaniu bębnów
sprawuje się nadal dobrze i strach pomyśleć co będzie dalej,
choć wydaje mi się, że Inferno także nie stara się
zdyskontować tego, co nagrał na „Infernal...”,
skupiając się bardziej na eksperymentowaniu z rytmiką. A że
niezły z niego świr to i tak wszystko brzmi jak jedno wielkie
szaleństwo. I o to chodzi...

Czy po takich znakomitych płytach jak "Demon
Seed" oraz "Infernal Blasting" spodziewał się ktoś,
że nowy album będzie odstępstwem od tej reguły??? Jeżeli tak,
to pragnę wyznać, że jego obawy były kompletnie bezzasadne!!!
Dziś, po długich godzinach spędzonych z muzą AZARATH,
stwierdzam wszem i wobec, że "Diabolic Impious Evil"
jest najlepszym krążkiem tej znakomitej pomorskiej kapeli!!!
Moje pierwsze odczucia po wysłuchaniu nowej płyty wcale nie
wskazywały, że postawię taką tezę. Przed napisaniem tej
recenzji postanowiłem poświęcić swój czas na odświeżenie
zawartości poprzednich płyt. Dziś mogę powiedzieć z całą
pewnością, że nowe dzieło AZARATH jest równie bezpośrednie
jak debiut i tak samo masakrujące jak "Infernal
Blasting". Na "Diabolic Impious Evil" zespół postąpił
(na 100% bez jakiejkolwiek zimnej kalkulacji) wedle zasady złotego
środka, wiążąc elementy charakterystyczne z poprzednich
wydawnictw nicią muzycznej dojrzałości i kreatywności. Muzyka
z tej płyty wybija zęby z taką samą skutecznością jak
"Demon Seed" i niszczy słuchacza z taką samą siłą
jak "Infernal Blasting", będąc jednocześnie
wielowymiarową i bogatą w dźwięki. "Diabolic Impious
Evil" jest płytą zróżnicowaną. AZARATH, potrafi mordować
na różne sposoby, czego idealnym wyrazem jest nowa, niosąca śmierć
płyta. Mam wrażenie, że dla przygotowania tego zabójczego
stuffu użyto jeszcze większej ilości smoły niż to bywało w
przeszłości... Jej woń czuć wyraźnie w powietrzu podczas
obcowania z zawartością "Diabolic...". Największym
dobrem naturalnym AZARATH jest jego kompozycyjny spontan, który
odczuwam bardzo wyraźnie. Z taką łatwością, klasą i siarą
tworzy już naprawdę niewiele zespołów. Za to im chwała, cześć
i uwielbienie!!! Ekspansję ziem obcych czas zacząć Panowie!!!
Jeżeli szukacie potwierdzenia dla powiedzenia: "Polacy nie gęsi,
gitary mają i death metal zajebiście napierdalają", nie
musicie daleko szukać. Wystarczy zakupić tę mega zajebistą płytę.

Bez słuchania wiadomo, czego się spodziewać.
Bezkompromisowej, skondensowanej dawki death metalu. Niosącego śmiercionośną
zarazę. Bez eksperymentów, kombinowania i bez bratania się z
cywilizacją. Azarath to reprezentant instynktu i zamieszkiwanego
przez nieujarzmionych dzikusów buszu. Dlatego bez wróżbiarskich
zdolności łatwo zgadnąć na co natkniemy się podczas potyczek
z dźwiękami. A jednak, mimo tej nie tyle przewidywalności, co
pewności, posłuchać warto.
Przede wszystkim dlatego, że w 2006 roku death metalowi wyjadacze
nie rozpieszczali fanów wypasionymi płytami. Takimi, które
obijają pysk i sprawiają, że bez odwiedzin intensywnej terapii
własnymi siłami do zdrowia się nie powróci. Azarath nie ma
litości dla przeciwnika. Bez względu na to, czy tym
przeciwnikiem jest przypadkowy przechodzień, który chciał
sprawdzić, jaki diabeł straszny, czy też przetestowany już,
rozkochany w takich brzmieniach, bywalec. "Diabolic Impious
Evil" to nieco ponad półgodzinny hołd dla śmiercionośnej
tradycji. Aczkolwiek zaopatrzonej we współczesną amunicję. Ani
przez chwilę nie odnosi się wrażenia, że to płyta sprzed
kilkunastu lat. Mimo wyraźnych podobieństw do Morbid Angel czy
Deicide i wspomnianego już braku przystosowań do rozwoju
cywilizacyjnego. I dlatego zespół nie ma najmniejszych problemów
z zagrabieniem dzikich terenów. Death metal to nie kalkulacja i
wyuczona technika. Death metal to szatan, zabójcze blasty i pędzące,
kaleczące gitary. Bez możliwości zaczerpnięcia świeżego
oddechu. Z wszechobecnym aromatem drażniącej węch siarki.
Azarath nie odkrywa nowych lądów. Azarath na każdym kroku
przypomina o czystych regułach death metalu. To nie tylko pasja,
ale też sposób na życie. Całkowite oddanie idei. I dlatego,
mimo braku zmian, utrzymuje wysoki poziom twórczy. Bycie
kameleonem pozostawia innym. Sam chce być podwładnym diabła i
występować jako jego najbardziej obskurna odmiana.8 / 10

Trzecim krążkiem w dorobku Azarath został niedawno
"Diabolic Impious Evil". Zawiera on 33 minuty brutalnych
dźwięków utrzymanych w klimatach Death Metalu. Tak jak to bywało
z poprzedniczkami tak i tym razem płyta ujrzała światło
dziennie za sprawą Pagan Records. 10 utworów przechodzi przez
uszy słuchacza tak jak żołnierze USA przez Irak w poszukiwaniu
Terrorystów - nie zostawia jeńców. Ekstremalne i kontrowersyjne
(coś w tym musi być w końcu w Opolu odmówiono im zagrania
koncertu podczas trasy Blitzkrieg 4) teksty świetnie obrazują
dzikość, mrok oraz zło tego CD. Po zespole widać, że dojrzał,
partie gitarowe są bardziej przemyślane, zróżnicowane ale
nadal piekielnie szybkie. Perkusja bez zmian - Inferno nadal chłosta
mózg słuchacza niesamowicie szybkimi blastami, ale zdarzają się
również zwolnienia które urozmaicają ten materiał. Na szczególne
pochwały zasługuje również Bruno, który swoimi wrzaskami
idealnie dopełnia całokształt tego materiału. Pomimo brzmienia
wysokiej jakości płyta oddaje genialnie klimat oraz pokazuje że
i w tak dobrej produkcji można zachować tzw. brudy. Wszystko to
oprawione w slipcase'a, o którym można od razu zapomnieć, bo
jak raz słuchacz włoży tego long play'a do odtwarzacza to z
pewnością nie będzie chciał go wyjąć. Wiem po sobie, słucham
tego albumu przynajmniej raz dziennie od jakiegoś miesiąca.

Całkiem sporo, bo aż trzy lata zmuszeni byliśmy czekać
na następcę „Infernal Blasting”. W końcu jednak
tytułowe „diaboliczne, bezbożne zło” trafia w ręce
wiernych fanów ekstremalnego death metalu. Sprawa jest jasna,
rozczarowania nie będzie. Azarath dokładnie wie czego chce, skąd
pochodzi i ku czemu dąży. Zwolennicy tczewskiej formacji myślą
zdecydowanie podobnie, nie oczekują odstępstw od radykalnych
zasad bezkompromisowości na rzecz, powiedzmy, brzmieniowych
eksperymentów. „Diabolic Impious Evil” to muzyka, której
oczekiwaliśmy: wściekle agresywna, brutalnie bezlitosna i
piekielnie szybka, a mimo to pozbawiona chaosu. Wbrew pozorom,
zawrotnym prędkościom, ostrym jak brzytwa riffom, perkusyjnej
anihilacji, doświadczeniu i renomie znanych nam wszystkim muzyków,
odnoszę wrażenie, że Azarath nie stara się tu z nikim ścigać.
Muzyczny ekstremizm jest jedynie – a raczej przede wszystkim
– narzędziem samodoskonalenia, bluźnierczy przekaz tekstów
wydaje się dla nich mową potoczną, a image... image to oni. Tu
i teraz. Naturalnie wkurwieni, oddani sprawie ideowcy. Ta płyta
nie jest wyjątkowo techniczna i może właśnie z tego powodu więcej
w ich graniu silnych emocji, pewnego poczucia braku kalkulacji. W
porównaniu z poprzednim longplayem, „Diabolic Impious
Evil” wypada chyba jeszcze dosadniej, bezpośrednio, prościej,
a nawet bardziej chwytliwie, choć oczywiście w ramach wąsko
zdefiniowanego, klasycznego death metalu. Czuć w tej muzyce
spontaniczność znaną z Ameryki Południowej. Na myśl przychodzą
też takie nazwy, jak chociażby Ravager, Angelcorpse, Impiety,
Abominator, a nawet Krisiun, pod warunkiem usunięcia z muzyki
Brazylijczyków solowych popisów Kolesne, choć i na trzeciej płycie
Azarath ich nie brakuje. To nie jest jednak techniczny death
metal. To nie jest modny dziś oldskul czy nachalna kopia amerykańskich
tuzów gatunku. To „Diaboliczne bezbożne zło”. To
Azarath.

One of the bands that I am familiar with is Azarath. They have
released "Diabolic Impious Evil" on Pagan Records and
luckily I got this promo to review.
Azarath is death metal and their newest creation contains ten
songs in last for a little more than a half hour. Music is not
melodic band focused on technical and brutal side. Drums are
excellently played and they fit with music. Guitars play more
innovate riffs and it's interesting that you can even hear the
bass guitar although it not hearable on the albums of other bands.
This release will not be waste of your money so for the fans of
death metal I recommend it. Only thing is that makes album less
value is grayscale artwork but music corrects it all.

Diabolic Impious Evil zaczyna się delikatnie, subtelnie wręcz, a
ja spodziewałem się, że urwie mi łeb już na starcie. Musiałem
na to czekać całe 27 sekund, najdłuższe 27 sekund mojego życia...
Ostatnie 27 sekund mojego życia.
No dobra, nie umarłem, moje życie się nie zmieniło, zmienił
się za to mój pogląd na death metal, a dokładniej na brutalność
w death metalu. Można by się na siłę doczepić, że jest nieco
wolniej, że ładniej brzmi niż poprzednio, ale Azarath nie
stracił wcale na brutalności, zwyczajnie wzniósł brutalność
na nowy poziom. Największe zmiany zaszły w sferze gitar, riffy
na poprzednich wymiotach były nieco monotonne, co nie jest wcale
zarzutem, taki był ich urok. Teraz jest znacznie ciekawiej, riffy
są bardziej urozmaicone, nadal piekielnie szybkie i jadowite,
jednak już nie minimalistyczne. Zmian za to nie słychać w pracy
perkusji, bo to, co doskonałe można już jedynie zepsuć, więc
zostało tak jak było, czyli niesamowicie. Automaty perkusyjne
powinny się uczyć od Inferno szybkości. Teksty dalej pięknie i
poetycko opiewają chwałę rogatego a wokale Bruna oddają swoją
potęgą ich klimat wręcz doskonale. Co tam Bruno wykrzykuje w
ekstazie możemy sobie poczytać w rozkładanej wkładce
okraszonej portretami pana mroku, jak i zdjęciami jego wiernych
pomagierów z Azarath w pełnej krasie.
Wszystko to oprawione w ładnego i niezwykle praktycznego
slipcase'a, którego jednak możecie sobie, co najwyżej, położyć
na biurku albo przykleić na ścianie, bo jak raz włożycie tą płytę
do odtwarzacza to już na pewno nie zawita z powrotem w pudełku.

Jak dla mnie to w encyklopedii metalu, pod hasłem
„bluźnierczy death metal” na dzień dzisiejszy
wystarczyłoby tylko jedno słowo… AZARATH. I wierzcie mi,
nie ma w tym stwierdzeniu zbytniej przesady. Trzeci album diabłów
z Tczewa to po prostu kwintesencja czarciego metalu śmierci.
Czarna płytka z logo Azarath kręci się w moim odtwarzaczu już
ponad trzy tygodnie a ja nadal nie potrafię wyjść z podziwu!
Brzmi to jak jawne lizanie dupy, ale co ja mogę na to poradzić,
skoro „Diabolic Impious Emil” pozamiatał mną tak
skutecznie, że nie ma co zbierać. Ich poprzedni album
„Infernal Blasting” to kawał bardzo dobrej, death
metalowej jazdy. Tym razem jednak wydaje się, jakby zespół
dojrzał jeszcze bardziej. Szczególnie słyszalne jest to w
partiach gitar, które na nowej płycie są dużo bardziej różnorodne,
przemyślane i, co tu dużo mówić, inteligentniejsze. Z zapartym
tchem słucha się całego, ponad półgodzinnego materiału i nie
sposób znaleźć dwóch takich samych, albo przynajmniej
podobnych do siebie motywów. Tym razem również podstawę
stanowią tutaj zabójczo szybkie partie poparte niesamowitymi
blastami Interno, ale zdarzają się także (i to częściej niż
poprzednio) zwolnienia, które urozmaicają cały materiał i nie
pozwalają, aby słuchacz choćby na chwilę znudził się opętańczym
blastem. Na uwagę zasługują także solówki, które z rzadka
przecinają ścianę gitar z siłą i precyzją piły tarczowej.
Na osobne pochwały zasługuje tutaj wspomniany już wcześniej
Interno. Jego gra jest po prostu niesamowita. To co ten gość
robi za swoim zestawem perkusyjnym zakrawa na szaleństwo. Tutaj
jego gra jest chyba bardziej uwypuklona, niż ma to miejsce w
Behemoth, więc automatycznie robi na słuchaczu jeszcze większe
wrażenie. Zaznaczyć należy także, iż dodatkowej mocy
uderzeniowej nadaje temu materiałowi świetna produkcja, która,
choć czysta i klarowna, to jednak nadal zawiera niezbędne
pierwiastki bluźnierczego brudu i surowości. Jak dla mnie jest
to jak na razie death metalowa płyta roku w tym kraju. Przebija
nawet tak dobre przecież „Impressions In Blood”
Vadera. Miazga! Ocena: 9/10

Niepisane prawo mówi, że trzecia płyta w dyskografii stanowi
sprawdzian wartości zespołu. Winduje kapele na szczyt, bądź
spycha w otchłań powolnego zapomnienia. Azarath od samego początku
swojego istnienia jest znaczącym bandem na polskiej scenie.
Debiutancki, porywający „Deamon Seed” natychmiast
wywindował ekipę bluźnierców z Tczewa na wysoką pozycję w
czołówce polskiej ekstremy. Druga płyta „Infernal
Blasting” zebrała równie pochlebne recenzje, choć mnie
akurat do końca nie przekonała – głównie przez słabą
czytelność partii gitarowych. Byłem bardzo ciekawy, co
przyniesie kolejna odsłona...
Parafrazując zapomnianego dziś Dr. Huckenbusha powiem krótko.
„Diabolic Imious Evil” tak jak młot rozpierdala płot
:) Z głośników wylewa się najwyższej klasy satanistyczny
death metal. Zalety tego materiału to przede wszystkim kapitalne
aranżacje, które nie pozwalają słuchaczowi nudzić się ani
przez chwilę. Na tym polu zespół poczynił chyba największe
postępy. Równie silnym atutem „D.I.E” jest
brzmienie. Diabłom z Tczewa udało się osiągnąć idealne
proporcje między klarownością a brudem. Mimo tego, że
wszystkie instrumenty słychać bardzo dobrze, nie ma mowy o żadnym
plastiku. Gitary brzmią ciężko, ale są czytelne. Bębny
Inferna to kwintesencja brutalności w death metalu –
warsztat i feeling na najwyższym poziomie. Na szczególną pochwałę
zasługuje brzmienie blach. Całości zniszczenia dopełniają: głośny,
agresywny i aktywny bas oraz wokal Bruna. Gardłowy Azarath musiał
być nieźle wkurwiony podczas sesji, gdyż wokale kipią wściekłością.
Brawo!
W przypadku merytorycznej zawartości albumu muszę koniecznie wyróżnić
spośród udanej całości następujące ataki: „Baptized in
the Sperm of Antichrist” (prawy prosty w szczękę),
„Devil’s Stigmata” (lewy sierpowy w łuk
brwiowy), „For Satan My Blood” (chyba jednak
najmocniejszy cios – kop prosto w jaja), „Beast
Inside” (z bani dla szatana) oraz wieńczący dzieło
zniszczenia „Goathorned’s Revange” (kopanie leżącego...).
Płyta jest niesamowicie spójna, nie ma tu mowy o żadnej
monotonii. Album trwa około pół godziny i myślę, że jest to
optymalny czas dla deathmetalowej produkcji. W warstwie tekstowej
oczywiście dominuje wszechobecne bluźnierstwo. Sądzę, że
teksty na tej płycie mogłyby się przyczynić do szybszego zejścia
rodaków niepełnosprawnych mentalnie, którym przewodzi niejaki
pan Nowak :)
Na koniec, trzeba polecić tę płytę maniakom ekstremy najwyższej
jakości. Dla mnie jest to najlepszy polski album deathmetalowy od
czasów „De Profundis”. A wszystkim, podejrzewającym
mnie o kumoterstwo, na pożegnanie rzucam staropolskie:

Azarath is a Polish satanic death metal squad, and "Diabolic
Impious Evil" is their 3rd full lenght release (their debut
"Demon Seed" was out in 2001, and "Infernal
Blasting" was out in 2003). If you already know guys'
previous works, then you know what to expect: outstanding drum
parts (by Inferno of Behemoth!!!), rusty guitar riffs and hellish
vocals - the same good old shit once again! It's quite strange to
me, that this fantastic band can't get more attention for which
surely deserve... We have tons of average death metal releases
around that used to get very high notes in reviews, and teh real
treasures of teh underground (such as Azarath) are almost unknown,
or known only to a bunch of die hard metalheads. To sum it up: if
you worship the ancient death metal cult, then you don't need to
worry: this one is for you. Angels' assassins are back with their
brand new blasphemy, get it now!

O Azarath pisano już dużo i chyba każdy maniak z naszego kraju
wie co to za zespół.
Trzeci album Azarath zatytułowany w dosłownym tłumaczeniu
"diaboliczny, bezbożny, zły" (tytuł mówi też
wszystko o muzyce wykonywanej przez chłopaków) nie różni się
niczym specjalnym od poprzedników. Jak zwykle nie ma tu miejsca
na melodie, zwolnienia czy wiruozerskie popisy. Na płytach tego
zespołu panuje zasada im głośniej, szybciej tym lepiej - w myśl
powiedzenia "jak się człowiek spieszy, to się diabeł
cieszy". Następne płyty zespołu ,można będzie chyba
recenzować w ciemno bo zespół nigdy nie zmieni swoich pomysłów
na death metal - i dobrze. Materiał dla tych, którzy oczekują
od zespołu bezkompromisowości, brudu i diabła. W swojej
kategorii rządzą.

Trudno nie uśmiechnąć się na widok okładki trzeciego albumu
Azarath albo tytułów utworów w rodzaju „Baptized In Sperm
of the Antichrist”, „For Satan My Blood”,
„Intoxicated By Goat Vomit” bądź
„Goathorned’s Revenge”, ale jeśli o muzykę
chodzi, to nie ma żartów. Od początku swojego istnienia Azarath
pchał gitarową muzykę ku skrajności, a na „Diabolic
Impious Evil” najwyraźniej dopchnął... Tak intensywnego,
krańcowo agresywnego, chamskiego, a zarazem przemyślanego death
metalu nie słyszałem – przynajmniej w wykonaniu zespołu z
Polski – od dawna. Prawdopodobnie od czasów „Infernal
Blasting”, poprzedniego albumu autorów... „Diabolic
Impious Evil”. Muzykę kwartetu często, z niezrozumiałych
dla mnie powodów, sytuuje się w kręgu tak zwanej starej szkoły
metalu, jednak największym atutem zespołu jest, moim zdaniem,
to, że stanął on okrakiem pomiędzy przeszłością a współczesnością.
I to chyba właśnie dzięki temu dokonania Azarath nie trącą
myszką, ani nie żerują na sentymentach zgredów, a jednocześnie
– i to bez nachalnej gonitwy za nowinkami i bez
koniunkturalizmu – śmiało mogą konkurować pod względem
intensywności z twórczością młodych gniewnych w rodzaju
Origin lub Brodequin. Rezultaty są porażające –
„Diabolic Impious Evil” nie osuwa się w rejony mdłego,
bezdusznego, maszynowego prucia, a jednocześnie jest płytą ze
wszech miar świeżą, tętniącą życiem (czy to przystoi
deathmetalowcom?) i aktualną, chociaż – nie ukrywajmy
– kompletnie nie odkrywczą, bazującą na osiągnięciach
klasyków. Mimo to album bez problemów lokuje się w pierwszej piątce
najlepszych polskich płyt deathowych bieżącego tysiąclecia.

Na ten trzeci album pomorskich diabłów czekała cała
"metalowa" Polska. Nie mogło być inaczej, skoro wcześniej
wydało się dwa tak piekielnie dobre albumy jak "Demon
Seed" czy "Infernal Blasting".
"Diabolic Impious Evil" to album utrzymany w klimacie dwóch
poprzednich płyt, z tą małą różnicą, ze teraz muzycznie
AZARATH jest bardziej dojrzałym zespołem. Bruno i spółka tym
razem przeszli samych siebie. Diabelskie, ekstremalnie pokręcone
gitarowe riffy, wzbogacone o nietuzinkowe solówki, których na
pewno nie usłyszycie na pierwszych płytach AZARATH są wybitnym
dowodem na to, ze zespół się rozwija. Głównie cieszy uszy
fakt, że na tym albumie bardzo dobrze układa się współpraca
pomiędzy starym (Bart) a nowym gitarzystą (Trufel). Chłopaki się
uzupełniają perfekcyjnie, przez co jak już wspomniałem, album
ten dostaje dodatkowego poweru. Oczywiście jak zawsze na płycie
rządzi perkusja, która na tej płycie pracuje naprawdę na
maksymalnych obrotach, nie tracąc przy tym nic z fellingu.
Inferno po raz kolejny przebił samego siebie. A przy bardzo
szczegółowym wsłuchaniu się w "gary" można wysłuchać
mnóstwo prawdziwych smaczków. Zresztą, to tyczy się całości
a nie tylko sekcji rytmicznej. Na "Diabolic Impious
Evil" zaserwowano mnóstwo tego typu smaczków, które umykają
przy pierwszym przesłuchaniu. Dopiero kilkakrotne przesłuchanie
tej płyty pozwoli nam w pełni delektować się muzyczną
dewastacją narządów słuchu made in AZARATH. Nie chcę tutaj
podpierać się konkretnymi tytułami z płyty, bo każdy numer z
tej płyty jest na równie bardzo dobry jak pozostałe a album
ten, trzeba rozpatrywać tylko w całości, jako jedność, bo
wtedy tylko można poczuć prawdziwy jego smak. Pojedyncze numery
nie oddadzą całego klimatu płyty!!
Często mówi się, ze prawdziwym sprawdzaniem dla zespołu jest
jego trzecia płyta, która powinna być takim najbardziej
rzetelnym miernikiem potencjału kapeli. Jeśli chociaż odrobinę
prawdy jest w tym powiedzeniu, to grupa AZARATH albumem
"Diabolic Ampious Evil" wspięła się na wyżyny death
metalowego rzemiosła, udowadniając wszystkim, że na dzień
dzisiejszy jest jedną z lepszych kapel w tym kraju.
