Is anyone ever really surprised when a quality extreme music product comes out of
Poland? The same goes with some strong record labels, not the least of which includes Selfmadegod
and Metal Mind. Add BLOODTHIRST and Pagan Records to the list of bands and labels that you
must check out as soon as possible. Declaring itself a label "…against God and
normality" and BLOODTHIRST "anti-Christian thrash
metallers" makes perfect sense when blowing the ole eardrums out with the nine tracks on
"Let Him Die", some terrifically old school inspired thrash that is deliciously blackened and raggedy as
hell. The colors of both the album art and music contained within are limited to
blacks, whites, and various shades of grey. In other words, cheeriness and sunlight are nowhere to be
found. What matters to BLOODTHIRST is stepping on the gas and thrashing for Satan in no uncertain
terms. The style borrows from early KREATOR in the riffs and, to some extent the
arrangements, and the tempos are mostly one speed: fast! The blackened part can be
attributed mainly to the raspy vocals and lyrical content, as
"Let Him Die" is first and foremost a thrash metal album. The sound mix is just as it should be for the style
played, that being raw and gritty, yet with a crispness that keeps the scything riffs sharp and with
an acceptable amount of instrument clarity. The songwriting is damn good
too. The tunes are catchy and the arrangements are changed slightly from time to time to keep one's attention
(e.g. "Destroyer“ Bringer of Flames" switches to a groovy mid-pace chug at one point). You'll no doubt be leading those around
you at the next cocktail party with a rousing refrain of "Crush the Bastard
Nazarene!" Throw in guitar solos that range from the gnarly to the melodic and a general unpleasantness
toward all things pious in the lyrics and you've got yourself a nice little package of rip
â€~n' tear blackened thrash. Put "Let Them Die" in the same grouping of mandatory thrash as
AUDIOPAIN's "The Switch to Turn off Mankind" and
SATHANAS' "Crowned Infernal". As the old saying goes,
"good shit."

Thrash metal powraca do łask. Tyle, że kojarzymy ten come back z orkiestrami typu Exodus czy
Overkill. A przecież więcej jest tam do odkrycia. Dla mnie głównymi autorami kolejnego
thrashowego szaleństwa są całe rzesze podziemnych komand, których członkowie ubrani w
niebieskie jeansy, białe adidasy, katany z setkami naszywek wiedzą jak grać dobry
thrash. Nie od dziś wiadomo, że „Polacy nie gęsi...” więc i my możemy się pochwalić rasowym,
thrashowym składem.BLOODTHIRST to nazwa dobrze znane w undergroundowym światku. Zespół za sprawą całej serii
demówek, splitów, epek czy licznych koncertów pokazał, że w ich słowniku nie ma słowa
przebacz. Teraz, ekipa z Poznania atakuje nas swoim debiutanckim, pełnowymiarowym albumem
„Let Him Die”. Struktura materiału jaki znalazł się na tej płycie przypomina starą niemiecką
szkołę thrash metalu ( tutaj wpiszcie swoje ulubione kapela na „K”, „S” czy „D”), której
BLOODTHIRST jest współczesnym, agresywnym adeptem. Oto przez trzydzieści pięć minut mamy do
czynienia z nieustannie pędzącą masą riffów, agresywnych wokali, furą nie do podrobienia
thrashowego klimatu, solówkami, kultowym – zwrotka, refren, zwrotka. Wszystko znamy.
BLOODTHIRST rozumie thrash, jako powrót do źródła, do wczesnych płyt Kreator, Assassin czy
Protector. Niektóre ich zagrywki opowiada na nowo, w uwspółcześnionej, zbrutalizowanej
oprawie. Dla kogoś może to mało zachęcające, ale w tym siła tej płyty. Niby zbiór dobrze
znanych elementów, lecz mamy do czynienia z thrash metalem, a thrash to muzyka prosta,
agresywna a nade wszystko przesiąknięta emocjami. „Let Him
Die” powstał w coraz prężniej poczynającym sobie Metal Sound Studio ( powstały tu płyty
Union, Supreme Lord, Witchmaster czy Bestiar) pod okiem Wojciecha
„Polanda” Cenajka i nie ulega wątpliwości, że efekt jaki
osiągnął zespół wspólnie z realizatorem jest mocno zadawalający.
Płyta brzmi czytelnie, a zarazem jest hałaśliwa i surowa. Ważna częścią tego materiału jest
jego melodyjność. Panowie nie przestraszyli się co powiedzą „prawdziwi” i sięgnęli po
patenty rodem ze szwedzkiego black/death metalu co sprawdza się co najmniej dobrze. Ale,
żeby robić takie rzeczy, trzeba mieć jaja. A tych „Let Him
Die” nie brakuje. Do tego ascetyczna, ale nie pozbawiona klimatu, okładka i oprawa graficzna. Pagan Records firma,
która uraczyła nas tym wydawnictwem, opisuje jego zawartość jako Violent Thrash Metal From
Hell. I tego się trzymajmy.

“Let Him Die” supone el primer disco oficial de esta banda polaca formada en el ano 1999.
Tras numerosos cambios de formación, el line-up presente en este debut está compuesto por
Kura a la guitarra, Mihu al bajo, MinT a los parches y un más que ridículo pseudónimo para
el fundador de la banda, Rambo, encargado de guitarra y voces. A pesar de ser una banda
sumamente activa, sus 4 splits, 3 demos, su álbum en directo y un
recopilatorio, ahí es nada, no ha sido hasta este pasado ano cuando el sello Pagan Records decidió apostar por
enésima vez por una banda underground, y brindarles la posibilidad de debutar con un larga
duración de estudio. Muchos son los síntomas que te llevan a pensar que Bloodthirst debe ser otra de esas tantas
bandas de black o death metal polaco. Sin embargo estas primeras impresiones respaldadas en
la portada del disco, su nombre y la procedencia son totalmente erróneas. Bloodthirst traen
consigo un thrash metal clásico, old school a más no poder, género nada prolífero por
tierras polacas, mina de bandas death y black metal, pero todavía poco inmerso en el thrash
metal.Dar una referencia de cómo suenan estos tipos es bien
sencilla. Podríamos decir que suenan a los Kreator más clásicos y
antiguos, una mezcla temporal desde “Endless Pain” a “Coma of
Souls”. Sin duda las influencias de los germanos están claramente definidas en el sonido de
estos chicos, riffs demoledores, una voz gritona con un aire a la de Mille
Petrozza, aunque menos extrema y agresiva y más oscura, numerosos solos de guitarra y un sonido clásico, pero
perfectamente producido. Incluso hasta los solos de guitarra tienen cierto aire a los que
hacia hace ya algunos anos Gosdzik, Trzebiatowski y Mille en los esquizofrénios tiempos de
Kreator. Los medios tiempos predominan, siempre con ritmos alegres en las baterías, respaldando en
todo momento los violentos y agresivos riffs de guitarras. Los solos de
guitarra, bastante numerosos, son rápidos, ágiles y con rápidas
escalas. Tremenda habilidad y técnica la de los dos guitarras, que además hacen acto de aparición sin estropear las estructuras de los
temas, perfectamente introducidos instrumental y rítmicamente y sin provocar momentos de
caos o parecer que están metidos con calzador. El batería no se queda atrás, sus medios
tiempos son pura violencia y encajan a la perfección en las duras secciones rítmicas del
disco. Con una variedad de ritmos muy interesante, ejecuta redobles en los cambios de ritmo
a una velocidad de vértigo, además de tener momentos de pleno lucimiento en algunos rápidos
blastbeats, como por ejemplo en “Crush The Bastard Nazarene”.
Si te gusta el thrash metal clásico, en especial el de la época dorada de Kreator, no puedes
perderte este “Let Him Die”. Un disco intenso y tremendamente sólido para tratarse de un
debut, a pesar de que la banda ya tenga cierta experiencia. Aunque las influencias de
Kreator sean las más significativas en su sonido, tampoco podrás olvidar otros nombres como
Sodom, Bathory o Slayer al escuhar este disco. Totalmente recomendado para los thrash

Poznańscy Krwiożercy przystąpili do kolejnego ataku, którego celem ma być zdobycie serc i
umysłów swoich wielbicielek z zakładów dla obłąkanych w całym kraju. Czy im się to uda, sam
dyżurny psychiatra kraju raczy wiedzieć. A na razie zajmijmy się narzędziem, za pomocą
którego chcą tego dokonać. A narzędzie mają naprawdę konkretne, gdyż jest to debiutancki
długograj o wesołym tytule „Let Him Die”. Znalazło się na nim 9 zajebistych kawałków
porządnego, europejskiego thrash metalu na bardzo przyzwoitym poziomie. Miałem już okazję
poobcować z poprzednimi demówkami poznaniaków i śmiało mogę stwierdzić, że ten materiał
niszczy z o wiele większą siłą niż wcześniejsze dokonania. Przede wszystkim przepełniony
jest dużą dawką agresji połączoną z siarczystym brzmieniem, drapieżnymi solówkami i
piekielnymi melodiami. Innym mocnym punktem „Let Him Die” jest różnorodność temp, dzięki
czemu bez zbędnej męczarni, a wręcz z dużą przyjemnością napierdala się baniakiem w rytm
takich kawałków jak „(Upon The Cross) Tormented And Lost”, „ Destroyer – Bringer Of
Flames” czy „Winds Of Death”. Jest to materiał bezkompromisowy, z jednej strony chwytliwy, z drugiej
kopiący po ryjsku aż miło. Oprócz samej muzyki jest jeszcze wrzaskliwy, diabelski wokal
Rambo, będący pociskiem zadającym ostateczny cios ofierze. Oczywiście wszystko, jak na
BLOODTHIRST przystało utrzymane jest w old school’owym stylu, więc o sterylnym i nowoczesnym
brzmieniu zapomnijcie. Jest to materiał przede wszystkim dla fanów brudu, zgnilizny i dużych
ilości siary. Polecam bez żadnego wahania.

Cross’’ e segue na veloz “Desecrate the Lie’’, com solos lembrando a melhor fase do Kreator,
até mesmo nos andamentos de bateria, com os vocais muito semelhantes ao feito pela banda
holandesa Occult e também o feito na The Haunted. “Destroyer – Bringer Of
Flames’’ já começa rápida, urgente e agressiva, com linhas vocais muito bem encaixada e viradas de bateria que
lembram bandas como Coroner, devido a quebradeira que MinT impoe ao seu
instrumento. Em seguida vem “Crush the Bastard Nazarene’’ com toda violencia e cadencia em seus riffs e
andamentos de dois bumbos, aliás, essa música nos shows deve ser uma total destruiçao, pois
é quase impossível ficar imune a bases e solos compostos para bater cabeça na frente do
palco, acompanhando as batidas da caixa da bateria. Também nas faixas ”Thrashing
Madness’’, “Winds Of Death’’, “Violent
Horde’’, aliás esta última poderia estar em qualquer álbum do
Bewitched, devido ao forte acento Thrash Black Metal, até mesmo devido a todo conteúdo
lírico, que gira em torno de antireligioes, anticristianismo e
afins, ou seja, essa música é
uma pancada nos ouvidos. Chegando no final deste petardo do Thrash Metal
polones, temos a faixa titulo, “Let Him Die’’, se caracterizando como uma das mais violentas do álbum, a
banda concentra todo ódio e brutalidade, como solos rápidos, a cargo de Kura e
Rambo, que também é o vocalista da banda, e completando a formaçao temos o baixista
Mihu, que acompanha com honra as rápidas viradas da bateria e imprime um peso fundamental na parte rítmica do
Bloodthirst. O CD encerra com “Excommunion (Sacrifice of Hell)’’, que encerra de forma
honrosa mais um álbum devastador vindo da terra dos mestres Vader e
Behemoth. Nao sou muito a favor desta dita ‘nova onda’ do Thrash Metal que invadiu nossa cena
atual, apesar de ter muitos nomes fortes e honestos neste estilo, devo dizer que na maior parte isso me cheira a
oportunismo puro e total modismo, mas quando ouço algo natural e
coeso, de bandas que sabem o que fazer com riffs e andamentos verdadeiramente Thrash Metal, me orgulho de resenhar e
dizer que merecem um lugar ao sol. Sei que posso até gerar polemica com esse comentário
acima, mas gerar angustia é algo necessário aos homens. Nota: 9.0

A banda tem como base o Thrash Metal. Um som trampado e violento. Mas é aquele Thrash que
beira o Death e raspa no Black, pois tem elementos de War Metal, com riffs que mais parecem
um bombardeio, solos caóticos, baixo denso, pesado e galopante, bateria que nem uma
metralhadora ou um HK, bumbos que parecem tambores do inferno na velocidade da luz. Alusao a
bandas como Slayer (da fase Reign Blood), Dark Angel e Assassin. Aliás, a banda que mais o
Bloodthirst parece, é com o Assassin, devido as similaridades com o seu Thrash bélico
(lembra da capa amarela com aquele tanque de guerra?). Destaques para as faixas Destroyer -
Bringer Of Flames, Winds of Death, Violent Hordes e a faixa-título. Com certeza, Let Him
Die será um pesadelo para o seu vizinho, principalmente se tiver gosto musical duvidoso (que
goste de qualquer porcaria que seja “música brasileira”). RC – 9,0

Flotten Metal mit viel Thrash und ein wenig Death bekommen wir von dieser Gruppe
geboten. Ich könnte jetzt nicht sagen, daß die Welt darauf gewartet hat, doch die Scheibe ist gut
eingespielt und rockt ganz ordentlich. Überzeugender Klischee-Metal, haha. Mit Soli und
Kopfnick-Abschnitten wird nicht gespart, macht schon Laune. Der Gesang ist schön rauh. Für
80er-Maniacs nicht verkehrt.

Vertonte Gotteslästerung lässt sich nicht nur in Form von Black Metal fabrizieren - das beweist die Plattenschmiede von Pagan Records in letzter Zeit in schöner Regelmässigkeit und angelt sich Truppen anderer Stilrichtungen, die ihren schwarzmetallischen Kollegen in Sachen Blasphemie jedoch in keinster Weise nachstehen.
Zwar haben die Paganer bei ihren Tauchgängen in derartigen Untiefen den Stein der Weisen bislang nicht bergen können, die eine oder andere brauchbare Veröffentlichung aber erblickte bereits das Licht der Welt.
Beim letzten Fischzug erwischte es nun die Thrash Metal-Kapelle Bloodthirst, die zukünftig unter der Flagge ihrer Landsleute von Pagan Records in den Krieg gegen das Christentum ziehen
wird.
Mit "Let Him Die" hat man nach Vertragsunterzeichnung postwendend das erste Langspielalbum der achtjährigen Bandhistorie angefertigt, welches man nun auf die gierigen Revolutionäre auch jenseits der polnischen Staatsgrenze loslässt.
Schnell wird klar, dass Bloodthirst nicht mit geballter Faust in der Tasche, sondern mit rotierender Streitaxt ins unheilige Geschehen eingreifen und nicht darauf abzielen, Gefangene zu machen.
Wenige Minuten genügen und schon haben sich die vier Dauerwellenträger in Ekstase versetzt.
Die Töne sitzen besser als die Frisuren, deren Verfassung unter den ruppigen Hochgeschwindigkeitsriffs umgehend ausser Kontrolle gerät.
Knackige Gitarrenleads fordern zum Headbangen auf, immer wieder durchschneiden flexible Soli das galoppierende Schlagzeug.
In bester Sodom- beziehungsweise Destruction-Manier formt man griffige Melodiebögen, die mit eigenem Wiedererkennungswert ausgestattet sind und sich nach den ersten beiden Hördurchläufen unlösbar in den Gehörgängen verhaken.
Nostalgische Gefühle erwachen hier und da dank der gigantischen Gitarrenarbeit, die sich schleunigst auch überhalb des Untergrundes Gehör verschaffen sollte.
Höhepunkte aus den neun Kompositionen zu filtern wäre unnötig, denn jedes Stück für sich ist ein kleines Meisterwerk - etwas störend wirkt da nur die anfangs angesprochene antichristliche Attitüde der Band, die man den Herren einfach nicht so richtig abkaufen kann; die im Thrash Metal überwiegende neutrale Haltung hätte es auch getan.
Die Produktion ist leider etwas matschig ausgefallen, kann den Sechssaiter aber treffend ins Rampenlicht rücken - und das ist bei "Let Him Die" die Hauptsache.
Satanisten werden sich mit Bloodthirst schwer tun, denn deren Material ist für jede schwarze Messe schlicht und einfach ungeeignet.
Freunde diffiziler und akkurater Instrumentalarbeit sind die passendere Zielgruppe, die mit "Let Him Die" zu erreichen ist.
Vom Gehalt des Gesamtwerkes wären die Polen wohl untergegangen, wenn sie auf Black Metal zurückgegriffen hätten - das Thrash-Gewand steht ihnen nämlich ausgezeichnet und macht Appetit auf mehr!

Having received the next package from Pagan Records (Poland), waited with impatience, when the turn will reach to write the reviews of these disks, as, only having looked on names of groups, has received reliance, that there will be something really destroying… and did not mistaken! So, BLOODTHIRST, if I not mistaken, group is from Poland. Frankly speaking, this disk has heard time… mmmm …. That not lie … about 20-th! Both it is not enough but a little! BLOODTHIRST completely also are clearly involved REAL old-school Metal! Well and if to be exacter - old-school Thrash Metal. Densely involved upon spirit of such monsters, as KREATOR! Naturally, for example, times of "Betrayal". We have same hunging, mad forcing to move rhythm-section and general Thrash Metal atmosphere. The brightly expressed parties, medium-rate, fast parties… Hoarse vox… And in a song "Thrashing Madness" solo VERY MUCH has reminded TESTAMENT. As we see, any shit, only thrash-thrash-thrash!!! Argh! For the Old-school maniacs these 9 tracks for 35 minutes will demolish a head once and for all! Are you ready to accept a fatal doze of poison under the name BLOODTHIRST? Yes? Then HURRY! 100 % old and 100 % Musthave!

Mam tą przyjemność, że twórczość BLOODTHIRST znam od początku, czyli od pierwszego materiału demo "End is the Beginning". I chociaż nie każde dzieło, które wyszło spod ręki Poznaniaków zwalało mnie na kolana, to jednak trudno byłoby nie zauważyć progres zarówno muzyczny jak i aranżacyjny zespołu.
Album zaczyna się od numeru "(Upon The Cross) Tormented And Lost" i od tej chwili wkraczamy w całkiem inny świat. Cofamy się w lata przeszłe, dawne, prawie już przeze mnie zapomniane. Kiedy wszystko nie było tak proste jak teraz. Kiedy każdy na nogach miał Sofixy a na plecach ekran z okładką płyty Kreator czy Destruction. Dlaczego tak? Dlatego, ze Bloodthirst to spadkobierca najlepszych wzorców z tamtych lat. Ich muzyka kipi nienawiścią, agresją i buntem a przy tym nie gubi za grosz swojej tożsamości. Każdy dźwięk jest przemyślany, czytelny a przy tym niesamowicie miażdżący. Każdy numer z osobna przede wszystkim ma swój szkielet, który rozbudowany z głową tworzy po prostu znakomity i jadowity thrash metal. I chociaż materiał ten jest w pewnym stopniu przewidywalny i wręcz aż do bólu przypominający trzy pierwsze albumy Kreatora, to nikt im żadnego plagiatu czy gniotu zarzucić nie może. Cholernie mocna rzecz, przy której trudno się nudzić. Rzekłbym nawet: pozycja obowiązkowa pod choinkę hehehehe. Chłopaki z BLOODTHIRST przez te wszystkie lata rozwijali się jako muzycy, nagrywali demówki, splity, koncertówki i cholera wie co jeszcze - a długograja nagrać i wydać przez długi czas nie mogli. Dopiero teraz za pośrednictwem niestrudzonej stajni Pagan Records możemy dzierżyć ich debiutanckie dzieło. I może lepiej się stało dla nich samych, ze tak długo to trwało. Przynajmniej teraz dostajemy materiał wyważony, dopieszczony i elegancki. Thrash till death!!

BLOODTHIRST to już niemłoda nazwa, znana każdemu szanującemu się maniakowi ekstremalnego napierdalania w naszym kraju. Już jakiś czas temu wypracowali sobie zasłużoną, czołową pozycję w rodzimym podziemiu. Jednakże dopiero po ośmiu latach, obfitujących w wydawnictwa innej maści, przyszedł czas na pełnowymiarowy album "Let Him Die" wydany w barwach Pagan Records. A debiut ten prezentuje się bardzo okazale...
Już od pierwszej sekundy trwania "Let Him Die" na nasze głowy spada grad ciosów. Chłopaki ani myślą bawić się w jakieś instrumentalne introdukcje czy inne tego typu słodkie wstępy, tylko od razu atakują słuchacza swoim oldschoolowym Thrash Metalem z lekką domieszką Black. Jest wściekle i bluźnierczo. Po pierwszym utworze "(Upon The Cross) Tormented And Lost" człowiek czuje się lekko sponiewierany i nie ma dość. A im dalej, tym zacieklej. Jadowite gitarowe riffy duetu Rambo/Kura wzbogacone o bardzo dobre solówki tego drugiego to siła napędowa tej produkcji, której agresję wzmagają szaleńcze tempa garów. Jest tu może trochę więcej melodii niż na wcześniejszych wydawnictwach BLOODTHIRST. Wydaje mi się jednak, że głównie dzięki temu zabiegowi ta płyta tętni życiem, nie ujmując niczego z zajadłości muzyki tego bandu. Nad całością unosi się autentycznie zła aura. Ta sama, która towarzyszyła wydawnictwom Niemców sprzed dwudziestu lat z KREATOR czy DESTRUCTION . Na uwagę zwraca też doskonała praca Polanda, który sprawił że brzmienie choć cuchnące i wciąż ociekające smołą nie straciło nic na swojej selektywności.
Muzyka zawarta na "Let Him Die" jest na tyle uzależniająca, że mógłbym tej płyty słuchać na okrągło, za każdym razem będąc coraz bardziej niszczonym. Nie ma tu mowy o jakiejkolwiek nudzie. Świeże pomysły wykonane w starym, niezapomnianym stylu. Ktoś powie, że to co chłopaki grają z oryginalnością chuja ma wspólnego. I w pewnym sensie będzie miał rację. Ale tylko w pewnym, gdyż dźwięki z tej płyty są tak niesłychanie bezpośrednie i płynące prosto z umorusanych sadzą dusz muzyków, że już sam ten fakt czyni ją unikalną. Obscure Thrash Metal is what this Polish quartet delivers at “Let Him Die”, the band 10th release and first full length album… Senseless violence and a strong anti-Christian feeling is exactly what you’ll find here, devastating and straight riffs drives the music through the 35 minutes this album lasts, complemented by infernal blackish vocalization responsible for this intense and notable blackened vibe that surrounds this entire work, in the finest vein of bands like Kreator, Sodom or even early Bathory… Even when the music of Bloodthirst is unmistakably rooted in Thrash Metal, some old school Heavy Metal influences becomes visible at some passages, where the savagery of Thrash Metal is accurately mixed with some pretty melodic Heavy Metal elements… The band’s strong anti-Christianity is specially reflected at tracks such “Crush The Bastard Nazarene”, “Let Him Die” and “Excommunion (Sacrifice For Hell)”, where the profane lyrics mixed with violent rhythms and sharpened guitar riffs result in killer compositions worthy of attention… The simple and straight structures reigns over this album, moving mostly at fast paced velocities where the frenetic drumming in conjunction with rapid riffs makes the headbanging impossible to resist. “Let Him Die” is a crushing, intense and solid album; the nine tracks this album contains are testament of violence and brutality accurately mixed with the hellish Thrash Metal sound, resulting in a tense and aggressive piece that will certainly delight everyone who enjoys the vicious and obscure sound of bands such, Kreator, Sodom, Slayer and Bathory… good work!

Panowie z Pagan Records ostatnio mają naprawdę masę powodów aby popaśc w samouwielbienie. Dlatego zastanawiam się czy warto w ogóle ich w tym miejscu chwalic, co to by im za dobrze nie było. No ale jak można inaczej skoro od dwóch tygodni pogrywa u mnie w odtwarzaczu Stillborn, Revelation of Doom i właśnie opisywany Bloodthirst? A już szczególnie, że jakoś nie specjalnie mi się widzi posłuch czegoś innego w najbliższym czasie? Oczywiście prawdziwe słowa uznania należą się zespołom, które nagrały świetne LPki ale goście z Pagana również powinni dostac po lizaku za danie szansy takim hordom, które pewnie zgineły by śmiercią naturalną w podziemiu. Jak widac, opłacało się i to bardzo…
Bloodthirst to taki cudowny kompromis w muzyce metalowej. Wielki Most łączący agresywnośc i brutalnośc z klasycznymi zagrywkami oraz dużą dawką melodyjności. Stary thrash inspirowany niemieckimi zespołami w postaci Destruction, Vendetta czy Grinder ale z wyczuwalnymi również amerykańskimi klasyki jak Dark Angel czy nawet Vio-lence. W całej tej maszynie zwiększono obroty, dodano jeden bieg i przyprawiono znakomitym mruczeniem silnika. Pomimo swojej szatańskiej otoczki, tandetnej okładki i nieco żałosnych liryk zespół udowadnia, że metal to nie tylko zapieprzanie do nikąd i rąbanka pozbawiona jakiś logicznych spójnych elementów. Można stworzyc materiał, mocny, wyrazisty i bardzo świeży bazując na starych zagrywkach, patentach i wzorcach. Muzyka pomimo dużej szybkości typowej thrashowemu łojeniu, cechuje się niesamowitą melodyjnością i przebojowością. Kwintesencją moich słów jest zdecydowanie “Desecrate the Life”, który spokojnie mógł by się znaleźc u Marka Sierockiego na antenie (hłehłe!). Album nie ma słabych momentów, każdy utwór to naprawdę porządna i energetyczna dawka gitarowego rzemiosła szczególnie jeżeli chodzi o popisy solowe gitarzysty prowadzącego. Naprawdę przeurocza sprawa gdyż do całego kotła z melodyjnymi riffami i przebojowymi zwolnieniami panowie dorzucają tak normalne solówki, że aż na dzisiejsze standardy w tego typu graniu… nienormalne. Dlatego z takim powodzeniem wyciskają u człowieka wspomnienia o zespołach z przed 20 lat. Minusy tej płyty? Chyba tylko te bliźniaczo podobne do siebie riffy w niektórych utworach, które powodują, że człowiek w świadomości wrzeszczy “Hej! Przecież oni przed chwilą grali to samo!”. Nie jest to jednak przypadek zbyt częsty dlatego z czystym sumieniem dziewiątka. A niech spróbują spieprzyc drugą płytę…

Nach 8 Jahren Bandgeschichte und unzähligen Veröffentlichungen, die sich hauptsächlich auf Splits und Demos belaufen, bringen die polnischen Thrasher von BLOODTHIRST ihr erstes vollständiges Album heraus. Dies mag womöglich auch damit zusammenhängen, dass die Truppe zu Beginn ihrer musikalischen Karriere in erster Linie nur Coversongs gespielt hat, was mit ständiger Line Up Änderung sowie Austausch der Zielrichtung letztlich in Eigenkompositionen umschlug. Musikalisch orientieren sich die Polen zwischen hauptsächlich Thrash und einem markanten Schuss Black Metal, der sich in einer ganz fiesen Form, ähnlich der deutschen Band DESASTER, entlädt und dabei aber dennoch unheimlich viel Spaß macht.
Was bereits mit den ersten Noten positiv auffällt, ist die vollkommen situationsgemäße Produktion im Hinblick auf die eher traditionelle, Old School behaftete Ausrichtung der Band, die weder zu dünn daherkommt, noch in irgendeiner Form über das Ziel hinaus schießt. Dazu gesellt sich dann der ziemlich angeschwärzte, keifig wirkende Gesang von Rambo, der seine Sache meines Erachtens besonders gut erfüllt, da man sein charakteristisches Organ durchaus unter vielen wieder erkennen kann. Wie man sich vielleicht vorstellen kann, sind eben die Möglichkeiten die innerhalb eines rotzigen Black/Thrash Verrisses denkbar sind, recht eingeschränkt, was bei „Let Him Die“ zwar irgendwie deutlich wird, sich aber insgesamt durchaus noch in einem amüsanten Rahmen befindet.
Dafür sorgen in erster Linie die einprägsamen Songstrukturen, die trotz streckenweise enormer Räudigkeit und wütendem Gedresche immer wieder Präsenz zeigt und zum mitgrölen und mitwüten animiert. Sicherlich sind die Riffs und alles Drumherum nichts Neues, aber wen interessiert das schon, wenn man das Ganze musikalisch und schreiberisch so aufgewertet hat, dass ein richtig feines, schwarzes Thrash Scheibchen entstanden ist, vor dessen Grimmigkeit und Wut sich die Dübel in der Wand verkriechen. Diesbezüglich und aufgrund der wirklich richtig unangenehm bösen Aura, die BLOODTHIRST hier ausstrahlen, muss ich gestehen, dass „Let Him Die“ für mich zu einem der besten, geradlinigen und kurzweiligen Black/Thrash Höllenritte dieses Jahres gehören und dabei sowohl die deutschen DESASTER, als auch die Poserbande von NECROMESSIAH hinter sich lassen.
Ich kann dementsprechend nur empfehlen sich dieses Stück Musik mal zu Gemüte zu führen, insofern man keine weltverändernden, unglaublich innovativen Auswüchse erwartet. „Let Him Die“ verpasst dem Hörer einen gut halbstündig andauernden Kinnhaken, der gerade bei den besonders einfach gestrickten Songs aufzeigt, dass auch der Schmerz und dessen Wertigkeit nur eine Sache der Betrachtungsweise ist. Prost!

Natura kobiety to zagadnienie niemożliwe do względnie zadowalającego zgłębienia, zarówno z uwagi na złożoność tematu, jak i jego szaloną abstrakcyjność. Jak powszechnie wiadomo nic nie jest w stanie wyprowadzić człowieka z równowagi równie skutecznie jak kobieta i to właściwie pod każdą postacią. Nieważne, czy to matka, żona, kochanica, czy też w końcu najbardziej krwiożercza odmiana ochrzczona wiele mówiącym terminem "teściowa". Wszystkie one dysponują całym wachlarzem środków, dzięki którym możemy się poczuć szczęśliwi. Potrafią także w oka mgnieniu zamienić nasz nędzny żywot w piekło. Z Bloodthirst sprawa jest znacznie prostsza i bardziej oczywista. Twórcy "Let Him Die" nie serwują swojej ofierze przyprawiającej o zawroty zmysłów huśtawki nastrojów. Delektując się zawartością debiutu Bloodthirst nie zderzamy się także czołowo z niezdobytym murem bolesnego niezrozumienia. Tutaj się toczy czysta męska gra oparta na oczywistych podstawach i czytelnych zasadach. Muzyka, jaką z entuzjazmem wykonuje poznański kwartet to ognisty thrash metal nafaszerowany szybkimi tempami, nieodzowną dawką rock'n'roll'owego brudu i absorbującymi gitarowymi harmoniami. Zespół brzmi zdecydowanie po europejsku i chwała mu za to. Dźwięki stanowiące "Let Him Die" tętnią życiem oraz autentycznymi emocjami. Posiadają także wulgarną i butną naturę, co zdecydowanie stawia je w opozycji do wypolerowanych i natapirowanych produkcji autorstwa tytanów z Bay Area. Debiut Bloodthirst ma jednak do zaoferowania nieco więcej, niż tylko impulsywne ataki i gorącokrwiste galopady. Panowie dbają o dozowanie emocji różnicując rytmikę utworów oraz ubarwiając całość niebanalną melodyką. Warto zwrócić także uwagę na finezyjne popisy solowe gitarzystów. Wszystko to sprawia, że "Let Him Die" stanowi sztukę bezkompromisową, a przy tym absorbującą. Stanowi również bezproblemowo przyswajalne i co najważniejsze skuteczne remedium w chwilach, gdy płeć nadobna z uśmiechem na ustach pozostawia po sobie zgliszcza.
